Refine your search for walks in Erbajolo
The Erbajolo Heritage Trail

This trail will take you through time in search of what life was like a few decades ago in this wonderful part of Corsica.
The scenery is beautiful and the course is very pleasant...
Castelnuovo loop

From the church square, set off to explore the wild world of the Corsican maquis. You will walk along pastoral paths where you may encounter herds of goats and sheep, on the ridge separating the Tavignanu and Tagnone valleys. You will enjoy exceptional views of the surrounding mountain ranges and the island of Monte Cristo.
Gorges du Tavignano and the Rossolinu footbridge

The Tavignano Valley is one of Corsica's most beautiful mountain valleys. It offers a deep, rocky gorge with numerous pools, and above all, the valley is a hiker's kingdom. From Corte, only a well-preserved old mule track leads into the wild Tavignano Gorge. At the Passerelle di u Russulinu, you'll find pools in the torrent, guaranteed to cool you down in hot weather like this year (2017).
Corsica Stage 1: Corte to the Refuge de Sega

First stage of the hike from Corte to the sea, at Marine de Porto.
This first day is a steady climb up to the Refuge de A Sega.
Corsica between the mountains and the sea

This hike is a variation (in terms of the route and starting point) of the Mare à Mare Nord. We set off from Corte, a very pretty town, and arrived at the Gulf of Porto.
We stopped at the Refuge de Sega, the Gite d'Albertacce, the Col de Vergio (where we stayed for two days to explore Lake Nino) and Evisa before arriving in Porto.
The Tolla sheepfold and the Meli waterfall

Waterfall hikes in a magical mountain setting. This beautiful and varied hike through the Manganello Valley is suitable for all.
Lakes Mélo and Capitello in Restonica

A magnificent and unmissable hike.
Caution: the passage of ladders and cables before Lac Melo and the descent of this section may prove difficult for those not accustomed to using this equipment and also to stony paths.
20/05/2024: Hike modified. The Restonica valley is no longer accessible by car! The start is now at the last stop served by the shuttle bus(Pont de Frasseta). See practical information.
Hamlets and old paths between Castineta and Morosaglia

A beautiful little circular walk from the outskirts of Castineta (well worth a visit!). Discover old hamlets and paths between Castineta and Morosaglia. These paths were widely used before the road to Castineta was built.
Monte San Petrone from Bocca di u Pratu

Starting from Col du Pratu (Bocca di u Pratu), this hike takes you to the summit of Castagniccia: Monte San Petrone. There is a magnificent beech forest along the entire route and a superb panorama at the summit.
The English Waterfall

Easy family hike along a well-marked, shaded trail. Accessible to anyone who is able to walk. Trout river, pure water, pools, waterfalls.
Corsica Stage 2: Refuge de A Sega to Albertacce

Second day of the hike between Corte and Porto.
The trail begins by climbing up to Bocca Arinella, where we discover our destination: after Lake Calacuccia, the village of Albertacce.
Restonica - Mélo Lake - Capitello Lake

A magnificent, unmissable and accessible hike that takes half a day.
The Ucelluline Waterfall or Bucatoggio Waterfall

When nature becomes a spectacle.
Secret yet welcoming, the Ucelluline waterfall (meaning "little bird" in Corsican) offers a striking setting that will leave a lasting impression. Between the villages of Santa Maria Poggio and San Nicolao, discover this wild and unspoilt site where fresh, clear water flows before your eyes and continues its journey to the sea. This walk is very popular during the day, but also at night, when its misty veil is fully illuminated and will fill you with wonder.
Pozzi via the Lacs de Rina from Ghisoni

This is a magnificent hike that has never been done before, as there is a section that is not listed. The trail starts halfway to the Ghisoni ski resort via a shortcut that leads onto the famous GR®20. This route offers a wide variety of landscapes and vegetation, including fir and beech forests, scrubland, rocky areas, lakes, rivers, animals, sheepfolds and the famous pozzi, which are magnificent in this location. These are pools of water in the green grass that form natural basins, connected by small river veins in the grass. The outward journey is via the Lacs de Rina, and the return via the GR®20. There are a few tough, steep sections, but all in all, it's not a very difficult hike, and well worth the effort.
Corsica Stage 3: Albertacce to Col de Vergio

This third stage takes us to the Col de Vergio, the highest point of the day, which marks the start of the descent to Porto.
We will pass by the beautiful Radule waterfall and its pools, which are perfect for swimming.
Monte Castellare loop

This magnificent loop on the slopes of Monte Castellare offers breathtaking views of the neighbouring valleys, the plain of Bastia, Elba Island and, on a clear day, even the Italian coast.
It alternates between wooded and open sections until you reach the summit at 1,000 metres, where a magnificent oak tree provides welcome shade for a picnic or a siesta.
The descent takes you through the charming hamlet of Costa.
