Rospa Sorba circular starting from Vezzani

Starting from the square in front of the church in Vezzani, set off to explore the wild world of the Corsican maquis and the beautiful Laricio pine forest of Rospa Sorba. The route offers magnificent views of the east coast of eastern Corsica and the islands of the Tuscan archipelago, as well as breathtaking views of Corsica's main mountain ranges from Punta Tana and Punta Cali, located near the route.

Description of the walk

Park in the church square.

(S/E) From there, pass by the boules court and continue south to the last house on the left.

(1) Take the path downhill and follow the orange markings.

(2) Cross the Tagnone and continue along the marked path to the D343.

(3) Continue carefully to the left on the departmental road to the Sambucco chalets.

(4) Carefully leave the D343 on the right and continue on the orange-marked trail. Pass the stadium and reach a track.

(5) Continue left on the marked trail next to the water tank and go to Col de Foce.

(6) Take the forest track on the right to Col de Foce d'Eria.

(7) At the pass, leave the track and take the blue-marked path on the right, which descends back to Vezzani. Return to the D343.

(8) Turn left onto the road going uphill and you will come to a three-way junction.

(9) Turn right along the city stadium to return to the church square (S/E).

Worth a visit

From the Col de Foce (6), follow the blue markings eastwards to Punta Cali, a peak at an altitude of 1,389 m, offering a beautiful panorama.

From the Col de Foce d'Eria (7), head to Punta di Tana, a peak at an altitude of 1,281 m marked in blue, offering a 360° view.

From the Col de Foce d'Eria (7), you can continue on the "Padula Circular via the Col de Foce d'Eria" route, extending your outing to a total of approximately 13 km.
