Carchetu circular

In Carchetu, leave the D71 and take the road down to the cemetery, where you will find a few parking spaces.

(S/E) Go through the barrier designed to prevent cars from passing and follow the path to the waterfall: remember to close it behind you. The path continues below the waterfall. Picnic facilities have been set up before the waterfall.

(1) Ford the stream and continue along the path.

(2) At the fork, turn right, then turn left towards the church. Continue left for a few dozen metres.

(3) Then turn right, pass above the church and reach a crossroads.

(4) Follow the path that climbs to the right and you will reach Castello.

(5) Turn right, then right again to reach the small car park at the cemetery (S/E).

In the village of Carchetu, you will find a bar/restaurant open in summer.

The Church of Saint Bernardin in Piedipartinu is a must-see monument. The church, whose structure dates back to the late Middle Ages, was refurbished in the 18th century (paintings, high altar).
The view is also very pleasant during this short walk, which crosses or runs alongside streams.
