Departure from Santo-Pietro-di-Venaco. Park in the car park above the wash house.
(S/E) Take the steeply ascending path through the woods, marked in yellow, towards Cappella di Sant'Eliseu. Cross the wide track twice to reach a stone building.
(1) Continue following the yellow markings and you will come out into the open at the start of the botanical trail. Leave a threshing floor below on your right and cross a second building, a cheese cellar.
(2) Continue west-southwest on the trail marked in both yellow and orange. Pass a stone shelter on your left at Cullata di L'Acqua Fresca. Pass a trail on your right leading to a spring and continue climbing to a viewpoint where a stone bench and table invite you to stop for a picnic. View of the Tavignano valley leading to Aléria. Continue climbing and cross a threshing floor, a stone circle,
(3) Then continue through a beech forest. You will come out onto a small plateau and reach the magnificent Sant'Eliseu - San Sabina chapel. Continue climbing a little further to the Polvarella sheepfold.
(4) At the sign, turn left and continue along the path on the contour line, heading south-west. Pass the ochju (spring) of Sant'Eliseu and ford the stream "U Misognu" several times. Reach the sheepfolds of Coda a u Pratu.
(5) Continue eastwards following the orange markings and descend north-east to the Tataralla sheepfolds. Continue descending and pass the Bitchadiu sheepfolds.
(6) At the crossroads, turn left towards San Petru and descend to the village of Santo-Pietro-di-Venaco. Make a loop through the village, cross the Misongno stream and return to the starting point (S/E).
