Cuers walks

A short climb to the Chapelles Sainte-Christine and the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Santé with its sundial on the ground. This is also an opportunity to discover part of old Cuers and the various wash houses along the way.

This is a walk I'm really enjoying at the moment with flowers along the route and a view of the Barres de Cuers. There's little difficulty, the false-flat is long, after the hives on the descent, so be aware. The hives are magnificent.

A beautiful hike, with a good climb and a superb view of the heights. It's a shame about the end, 30 minutes of tarmac...

This route takes you along rediscovered paths and, above all, through the hamlet of Valcros with its square, chapel, tree and oven. Next, head to the Trubis cave when there is water. Afterwards, head towards the Castellas oppidum, but that will be for another time, and return to the Saint-Christine Chapel to appreciate its history and the view.

A very pleasant loop that takes you along the Barre de Cuers via Les Veys. The lower part is on a green trail. The upper section, along the Barre, offers magnificent views with Porquerolles, Port Cros, Le Levant and the main peaks of eastern Toulon in the background. The west-east orientation of the Barre means you can avoid the mistral wind. Despite strong winds, the trail is sheltered and easy to walk. Spring is the best season as it gets hot in summer.

A beautiful little path and a lovely climb, with the added bonus of superb views and challenging passages between large rocks.

The hike begins with a walk through the pretty village of Belgentier. It then climbs via theGR®9and 51 trails through oak and pine woods to the Pas de Belgentier. The trail heads south, offering magnificent views and some geological curiosities. The descent to the village is steep, along steep paths, and ends with a beautiful, partially stone-paved path in a pretty valley.

Nestled against a rocky peak, Pierrefeu-du-Var reveals itself as a Provençal gem at the gateway to the Massif des Maures. This picturesque village invites you to stroll through its narrow streets, where every stone seems to whisper history. The route naturally leads to the site of Sainte-Croix, the spiritual and historical cradle of the commune.

Thefirst half of this hike is a variation of the Pierrefeu - La Portanière hike published on this website. Take the Chemin de Sauvecanne to reach the southern ridge of the Vallon Loubier. Join the ridge trail and take the Piste du Fédon. The return journey presents no particular difficulties and the scenery is magnificent.

This route will take you up to Solliès-Ville and then past the Notre-Dame du Deffens Chapel. On the way back, you will follow the bed of an old stream.

In a private estate where walkers, cyclists and horse riders are welcome, you will have access to a magnificent Provençal setting, with an 18th-century château at the heart of its 160-hectare vineyard, and you will walk alongside the banks of the River Gapeau and its tributaries, the Petit Real and the Jonquière. This circular route is suitable for families.

This walk takes you through the Aiguilles de Valbelle site, with its rocky peaks rising out of the forest. Beautiful forest tracks, a few footpaths and the Chartreuse Notre-Dame de Montrieux (which cannot be visited).

A beautiful hike, a little difficult due to the steep inclines, but which leads to splendid panoramic views in the Forêt des Maures.

A walk through the Var forests, alternating between trails and wide tracks, and from Pilon Saint-Clément, a path along the cliffs with magnificent views of the sea.

If you are guided by a desire to explore, this circuit, which penetrates the heart of Siou-Blanc, will allow you to discover lost arches, caves, karstic caves, dolomites and a few rocks whose shapes give free rein to the imagination. There are also a few remains of basic shelters, evidence of ancient occupation of the site. All these curiosities are hidden in the heart of a magnificent primeval forest and can be accessed by straying slightly from the more frequented paths.

This route begins with a visit to Méounes-lès-Montrieux, winding through its narrow streets, passing by its church, old wash houses, chapel and viewpoints. This hike combines physical activity with culture. It will take us on a journey of discovery through the ruins of Hyères Castle. The local council has installed information panels on the site, allowing us to imagine what life was like in those days. Before that, this beautiful walk will take us to the recently renovated Notre-Dame du Fenouillet Chapel.

A walk in the hills of Forcalqueiret Castle: Le Castellas. As access to the ruins has been prohibited since 2017, this circuit brings together several pleasant trails that reveal the castle from different angles.

A walk through holm oaks to the Revest lake viewpoint passing by a cave which can be visited.

A natural asset exploited by the local glass industry. A route through woodland where you will see the remains of dwellings, wells, sand and stone quarries, and former industry, near the derelict hamlet of Les Olivières.

A pretty loop with no particular difficulties, on tracks, among oak and arbutus trees in the Maures mountains.

A beautiful hike that is neither long nor difficult, and which can be extended to the Source des Orris if you have more time.

A pleasant hike offering magnificent 360° views from the summit, stretching from the Alps to the sea via Mont Ventoux. Route for experienced hikers.
