Description of the walk

Park in the car park on Chemin de la Ferrage.

(S/E) Head north towards Chemin de la Vière, then turn right and continue for about 20 metres.

(1) Take the botanical trail on the left and follow it to the canal, which you follow on the left for about 50 metres. Then take another trail on the right and come out onto a wider path called Chemin du Roucas.

(2) Continue on the left, join Chemin du Castrum and take the track on the right to pass in front of a cistern before arriving at a large crossroads of tracks located about a hundred metres further on.

(3) Turn left towards Notre-Dame de la Vière. Leave the path leading to the chapel on your left and continue straight ahead on the concrete path until you reach a large crossroads next to a building on your right.

(4) Take the track on the left and continue to a fork.

(5) Ignore the path on the left that leads directly down to La Foux and stay on the same track until you reach the Grand Vallat ford. Cross the ford and continue for about 200 metres until you reach a crossroads with directional signs.

(6) Turn right onto the path towards Pas de la Foux and follow it.

(7) At the top of the path, take the ridge path on the right towards Carnoules. You will reach a crossroads at the photovoltaic power station: viewpoint over Carnoules.

(8) Turn right to follow the long descent on the concrete path and rejoin the outward route.

(4) Continue straight ahead on Chemin de Notre-Dame de la Vière in the opposite direction to the outward route.

(3) Leave the path you arrived on to your right and continue straight ahead on Chemin de Peypelas to reach a concrete path, Chemin de la Colline.

(9) Turn right, pass two turnings on the left and continue to the hairpin bend on the right.

(10) Continue straight ahead to follow the path called Chemin du Colonel Parnière. Pass the cemetery on your left and take the road on the right at the bottom of the descent.

(11) Turn right onto Chemin Denis Morin (road) and return to the start of the trail.

(1) Walk about 20 metres and then turn left onto Chemin de la Ferrage to return to the car park (S/E).

An easy route with beautiful views. We added the climb to ND de la Vière. What we liked most: crossing the ford, which was fun because there was quite a lot of water, and especially the beautiful waterfall formed by recent rains in the same spot.
The climb immediately after is tough, with a few more views of the waterfall.
