Park on the Route des Borrels (municipality of Hyères), at the cistern car park (signposted "CRAPA"), at the entrance to Les Deuxièmes Borrels.
(S/E) Take the Route des Borrels for 400 m towards the village. Pass the school and continue for another 50 m.
(1) Turn left, following the signs for Chapelle Saint-Lambert (the path actually passes under the chapel) until you reach a red and white barrier, slightly higher up. Go through it and tackle the long climb (a little steep in places) opposite, between walls of arbutus trees, up to elevation 235 on the map. There is an open-air grey cement basin on the right-hand side of the path.
(2) Take the path on the left and you will reach a wider track forming a T-junction.
(3) Turn left onto this track, then quickly turn left at the fork after the metal cistern onto the wide, almost horizontal Piste de Camp Long. Continue along this track, which roughly follows the contour line and offers beautiful views of the sea, the Hyères islands, Le Coudon and Mont Caume. You will reach a green metal cistern.
(4) Continue along the track to begin the H variant. Reach the crossroads of the wide Piste de la Baïsse, elevation 265.
(5) Take it on the left (signposted "DFCI Le Viet Camp Long") and, via an easy descent, reach the crossroads at the heliport at an elevation of 203 metres.
(6) Take the track on the left: DFCI B341 sign, towards Les Borrels. Continue to a very sharp hairpin bend. Here is a landmark: the wreck of a Citroën "H" van (which gives its name to the variant), below. Go around this bend and just after it, you will find the start of a path, which is not very visible, on the left.
(7) Take the path that descends southwards into the valley. After a few fairly steep sections, you will reach a T-junction at the bottom of the valley.
(8) Be careful not to take the wrong path here! Turn left and then, 20 metres further on, turn sharply right onto the Piste de la Baïsse des Contes or Chemin de la Font de la Truie. Stay on this track to reach the Route des Borrels.
(9) Follow this road to the left to reach the car park at the entrance to the hamlet of Deuxièmes Borrels (A/D).
