The walk starts from the car park at the Chapelle de la Trinité in La Farlède. Unfortunately, the chapel and its grounds are closed to the public.
(S/E) Stay on the road heading east; it crosses a stream that is not very visible, the Régana. Immediately after, turn left to follow this stream northwards. Continue straight on the road, then along the avenue of plane trees to the end of the path, where a wooden footbridge appears to the left of a gate. Cross the footbridge and reach the hill and its woods after a short passage between fences. Take the path on the right that runs alongside and overlooks the Vallon de Redonnel, climbing gently. At a crossroads, continue straight ahead on the well-marked path. The shaded path climbs a little more steeply. After turning left, it crosses old terraces and two piles of rubble from old stone walls.
(1). Continue to reach a small, more open summit covered with rockroses and small shrubs. From here, there is a beautiful view to the north of the Bau Rouge cliffs overlooking the road from Sollies-Ville to Les Selves. Looking down, you can see fossils on the limestone rocks on the ground. The path then descends through the woods to a clearing accessible by car.
(2) Take the wide path that descends southwards, then immediately take the narrower path on the right. You will come to a crossroads.
(3) Turn left to quickly reach a large deforested area where high-voltage power lines are maintained. Shortly afterwards, you will return to the woods and reach Villa Saint-Louis, a sort of shelter from the last century with a cement trough in front of it, now lost in the vegetation. Shortly after this shelter, leave the path that descends and take the one on the right that climbs slightly. Then walk between the forest and old terraces until you reach the wide path of the Canal de Provence.
(4) Take this wide canal path, which is quite busy (especially at weekends), to a reservoir surrounded by wire fencing. Then turn left to descend towards the houses and a very steep street called La Montée du Coudon.
(5) Leave this street by taking a path on the left between two houses, which will take you back to the tarmac after a final stretch through the woods. Then follow the road and the path that continues on, gently leading you back to the starting point (S/E).
