Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs walks

A short walk south of the Bièvre plain. On the way there, you can enjoy views of the Chartreuse mountains and, on the way back, the Pilat peaks.

This is a varied walk, alternating between woods and pond banks. You can enjoy a few views of the Chartreuse peaks and, if the weather is very clear, even the highest peak of Mont Blanc.

Wind through the valleys between Brion and Saint-Michel-de-Saint-Geoirs, then climb up to the ridge where you will have 360° views of Mezenc, Pilat, the Plaine de la Bièvre, the Chartreuse, Belledone, and the Vercors. End by walking through Mouillasson forest to get back to your vehicle.

A varied walk, located on the northern foothills of the Chambarans. You walk along a small stream before climbing the hills to enjoy some interesting views. You finish the walk at the imposing medieval castle of Bressieux. There are no difficulties to worry about, except for the distance and two slightly steep hills.

A short walk down to the Bièvre plain and then back up to mid-slope. This route is not difficult, except for a short steep climb on leaving Saint-Hilaire.

This hike starts at the northern edge of the Bièvre plain, along theGR®65. It then leads to the moraine to discover the Chapelle de la Salette, nestled in the woods. Finally, the return journey is via the Château de la Villardière, where you will have a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.

Starting at the Col de la Croix de Toutes Aures, on the edge of the Chambarans, this easy hike offers beautiful views of the Bièvre plain and the peaks of Chartreuse and Belledonne.

From the village of Izeaux, you climb up to the Domaine de Parménie where you can admire the charming Chapelle de Notre-Dame de la Croix. From the orientation table, you will have a panoramic view from the Mont du Chat in the Ain to the peaks of the north-east of the Vercors.

This hilly hike will take you past castles and fortified houses (La Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Mont and the ruins of Bocsozel). The route also offers magnificent views of the Alps. This hike follows a small section of the Via Gebennensis. The Via Gebennensis connects Geneva to Le Puy-en-Velay. It is the route that Swiss and German pilgrims have always taken to reach the pilgrimage route from Santiago de Compostela to Le Puy.

This is a fairly short trail through the village of Izeaux. It takes you around the centre of the village, and offers some lovely views of the village.Take a few 'tracolets' through the heart of the village, and you'll discover some of the remarkable features of Izeaux.

This short walk takes you up the Charpennes hill, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of: - from the north-east to the south: the Bièvre glacial plain, Mont du Chat, Chartreuse, and a few peaks of Vercors, - and due west, Pilat and the Monts du Lyonnais. In very good weather, between Mont du Chat and Chartreuse, you may be able to see the summit of Mont Blanc. Otherwise, you can wander between hedgerows and forests along the Chambarans moraine.

A very varied walk. In the first part, you walk alongside magnificent ponds covered with water lilies. The return via Camp de César offers magnificent views of the Bièvre plain and the surrounding mountains.

This walk through the woods will allow you to discover the Chapel of Notre-Dame de la Salette and the beautiful Étang du Marais lake.

Route along the ridges between the plains of Bièvre and Liers with beautiful views of the Alpine foothills. Villages with beautiful Dauphiné architecture, castles and ruins, pilgrimage sites.

A short walk on the moraine between the Bièvre and Liers plains, with views of the surrounding mountains. You will go to the Château de Bocsozel and return via the Château Pointière.

A pleasant, varied little hike that takes you through the narrow streets of La-Côte-Saint-André, then along the ridges to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains.

Walk in the Chambaran forest. Discover ponds and wetlands. Discover rare plants and a species of dragonfly called "Codulegastre annelé" at the Tourbière des Planchettes.

A lovely little circular on the heights of Gillonnay, starting from the Chapel of Notre-Dame du Mont, with a beautiful view of Parménie and, above all, the Vercors. The chapel is worth a visit. This route is superb in autumn! Be careful, in the height of summer, there is practically no shade.

A short walk on the La Côte-Saint-André moraine with beautiful panoramic views. You will pass by the Notre-Dame du Mont site in Gillonnay. There are no difficulties to be feared, except for a steep hill.

You climb the hillside of La Côte Saint-André (ND de Sciez) from where you have a remarkable view: from the Monts du Pilat in the west to the Mont du Chat in the north-east, passing through the Vercors, Belledonne and Chartreuse. From certain vantage points, on clear days you can even see the summit of Mont Blanc. On the way back, you will pass by the village's main attractions.

You will walk through beautiful woodland, with a few quick views of the Pilat, Lyonnais and Vercors mountains It's a fairly short walk, but at times it goes up and down, so it's quite demanding on the legs.

A lovely walk from Morette in the hills above Tullins. In the woods or on the hillsides, there are magnificent landscapes to discover along the trails. A nice climb in the direction we took it. It's easier in the other direction.

A family walk surrounded by works of art. With the added bonus of a splendid view of the Vercors.

This is a pleasant walk. You will pass through walnut groves and the valleys of the Chambarans foothills, enjoy the undergrowth and, at the end, take in the exceptional views of the Pre-Alps and the Alps, all enhanced by the sculptures of the "Arts aux 4 vents" at the end of the trail.

After completing the educational route through the peat bogs, we suggest a short walk in the surrounding countryside.

The first part of the walk takes place in the coolness of the Chambaran forest. Then you walk along the ridge and enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

A bucolic hike in the Chambaran with superb views of the Vercors and, in particular, the Grand Veymont.

A nice little walk that allows you to get some fresh air without getting your shoes muddy when the paths are very muddy, as it takes place almost exclusively on small asphalt roads. No difficulty, the elevation gain is very gentle and gradual.

An easy walk among the ponds in the heart of the Nantoin Forest. At the end of the walk, you will be rewarded with a splendid view of the Liers plain, the Chartreuse, the Alps and the Vercors.

A lovely little walk in the Dauphiné countryside. Halfway through, you will climb a little way up into the forest to the Croix du Moine Mort (Dead Monk's Cross), before descending to the charming Notre-Dame de Milin Chapel.

A circuit between Chantesse and Notre Dame de l'Osier through the chestnut trees, allowing you to discover a very pleasant little chapel.

A short, easy, shaded walk, ideal for a summer morning.
