Le Donon

A short hike up one of the most famous peaks in the Vosges du Nord, famous for its Gallo-Roman remains and from where you can enjoy a wide panorama. The ascent is more gradual and less busy than the descent.

Nice walk into the woodlands with a viewpoint over the Rocher du Hohwalsch. The viewpoint at the rocher du Hohwalschplatz gives you a nice view of the surroundings, even until the lake of Gondrexange.

Chaume des Veaux from Kreuzweg pass

Beautiful snowshoe trek beneath the Champ du Feu from the Col du Kreuzweg. Pass through the Pelage site, a paragliding centre offering a superb view, then through the Chaume des Beaux, a beautiful open space in which to enjoy the sun.
Some "off-track" sections for the sake of fun in the snow but with the option to stay on the marked trails for those who want it.
Piton du Falkenstein and Schelmeck from Grendelbruch

A lovely, easy walk with many breathtaking views of the Bruche Valley, the Donon, the Wisches quarry, the Alsace plain and the Château du Guirabden.
This is a simple circuit in terms of length and elevation, with a mix of forest paths and trails through either forest or pastureland.
Falkenstein, Hohbuhl, Col de la Franzur from Grendelbruch
From the mountain village of Grendelbruch, this loop, mainly located south of this village of 1,250 inhabitants, sets off to explore the Piton du Falkenstein, a magnificent rocky outcrop offering a beautiful view of the Bruche Valley. This hike continues via the Col du Bruchberg, the climb through the stubble fields to the Signal de Grendelbruch and its 360° view, then follows the climb to Hohbuhl through the forest. Next, pleasant trails take you to the Col du Beyerlager and then to the Col de la Franzur. You will make some magnificent discoveries, alternating between village streets, forest, undergrowth, thatched roofs, forest roads and pretty little trails. And there are plenty of viewpoints!
From the Magel to the Bruche via the Donon
This circular walk takes you from the pastures of the Grendelbruch heights to Schirmeck and the Donon, returning via the Bruche valley. It takes in roads, forest roads, forest paths and cycle routes.

Four Lakes Circuit in the Vosges

The Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle

A beautiful circular hike from the wine route to Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle. Climb up through the beautiful valley of the mills. Loop around Haut-Koenigsbourg and return via Langenberg. Beautiful views of the Alsace plain and the Black Forest, with an orientation table.
The castle courtyard is free to visit. Don't hesitate to make a detour from (6) or (7).
The three lakes

Looking for a varied hike with different terrain? Then look no further than the Three Lakes Hike.
Rooted footpaths, forest tracks, uneven terrain, crossing the Gazon du Faing, Lac Noir, Lac Blanc and Lac des Truites (also known as Lac du Forlet) and, on a clear day, a diversion to the Belmont Rocher observatory or Rocher de Hans.
A lovely hike to do in fine weather. It's better for the scenery.
From Ribeauvillé to Dusenbach Monastery through the woods

The Pearls of Vologne

“Les Perles de Vologne” is a wonderful site on the shaded bank of the Vologne.
You will pass on Pont des Fées and the Marie-Louise islands, before climbing along the torrent in the Roitelets Gorge, to reach the Roche des Bruyères from where you can admire the town of Gerardmer and its lake. Then, at the Gilet Fountain, located in the forest, you can refresh your hands.
Take a break at the Belbriette Pond before descending to Longemer Lake and the Saint Florent chapel.
Lakes and pastures

A beautiful hike that takes you up to the “Gazons”, the famous pastures of the Hautes Vosges, and along the steep slopes overlooking the magnificent cirques where the lakes of Lac Vert and Lac du Forlet lie. All of this is situated at an altitude and in landscapes that are reminiscent of the Alps.
