From Celles-sur-Plaine, follow the signs for the leisure centre via the Voie Verte (shared-use path, mainly for pedestrians and one-way). Park in the large car park at the Lac de la Plaine leisure centre, past the Maison Forestière de Para.

(S/E) Continue along the small road that runs alongside the Voie Verte, skirting Lac de la Plaine. Pass the Maison Forestière du Combat and turn right onto the path running alongside the road.
(1) Walk past the Fontaine Jacquot and turn left immediately, crossing the road. Turn right at the first junction.
(2) Turn right onto the path climbing through the forest towards the Pierre Percée Dam and discover the monument commemorating the Mobiles killed in 1870, followed by a series of glades nestled within a superb forest. You’ll emerge onto a forest track; follow it to the right for about a hundred metres, then leave it to take a path on the right that descends to the dam.
(3) From the EDF dam, there is a bird’s-eye view down into the valley floor, where the Vieux-Pré stream flows, and over the earth-filled dam. Opposite, a view of the perched keep of Pierre Percée Castle. Take a look at the spillway for the lake’s excess water. Turn left as you leave the dam.
(4) At the viewpoint, there is a picturesque view. Leave the lake a little further on by crossing the road and taking the steps opposite onto a forest path marked with the Blue Ring and Red Ring symbols.
(5) Turn left onto the wide path and continue to the Vierge de Para (461 m).
(6) Turn right onto the path leading downhill (marked ‘Blue Ring’), which crosses a wide forest track twice before rejoining the car park where you started (S/E).
