From Celles-sur-Plaine, follow the signs for the leisure centre via the Voie Verte (mixed use, but mainly for pedestrians and one-way). Park in the large car park at the Lac de la Plaine leisure centre after the Maison Forestière de Para.
Blue Ring markings
(S/E) Continue along the small road that runs alongside the Voie Verte, following Lac de la Plaine. Pass the Maison Forestière du Combat and turn right onto the path running alongside the road.
(1) Pass by the Fontaine Jacquot fountain and immediately turn left, crossing the road. Turn right at the first intersection.
(2) Turn right onto the path leading up through the forest towards the Pierre Percée Dam and discover the monument in memory of the Mobiles killed in 1870, then a few coves nestled in a beautiful forest. Come out onto a forest road, follow it to the right for about a hundred metres, then leave it for a path on the right that descends to the dam.
(3) From the EDF dam, there is a bird's eye view of the valley floor where the Vieux-Pré stream flows and the embankment dam. Opposite, there is a view of the towering keep of the Château de Pierre Percée. Discover the spillway for the lake's excess water. Turn left at the dam exit.
(4) At the belvedere, enjoy the picturesque view. Leave the lake a little further on by crossing the road and taking the stairs opposite to a forest path marked Anneau Bleu and Anneau Rouge.
(5) Turn left onto the wide path and continue to the Virgin of Para (461 m).
(6) Take the path on the right that descends (marked with the Blue Ring), crosses a wide forest path twice and rejoins the starting car park (S/E).
