Montfalcon walks

Hike from Montfalcon to the Chapel of Serein in Saint-Clair-sur-Galaure through countryside and woods. This hike is a longer version of the hike from the Chapel of Serrein to Montfalcon Castle, with different routes.

A nice little walk that allows you to get some fresh air without getting your shoes muddy when the paths are very muddy, as it takes place almost exclusively on small asphalt roads. No difficulty, the elevation gain is very gentle and gradual.

You will walk through beautiful woodland, with a few quick views of the Pilat, Lyonnais and Vercors mountains It's a fairly short walk, but at times it goes up and down, so it's quite demanding on the legs.

This is an easy hike, except for its length. It will take you through woods, walnut orchards and fields on the southern slope of the Chambarans. Beautiful views of the Vercors.

This short walk takes you up the Charpennes hill, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of: - from the north-east to the south: the Bièvre glacial plain, Mont du Chat, Chartreuse, and a few peaks of Vercors, - and due west, Pilat and the Monts du Lyonnais. In very good weather, between Mont du Chat and Chartreuse, you may be able to see the summit of Mont Blanc. Otherwise, you can wander between hedgerows and forests along the Chambarans moraine.

A short walk in the heart of the Bièvre plain. An oasis of calm and greenery.

A varied walk, located on the northern foothills of the Chambarans. You walk along a small stream before climbing the hills to enjoy some interesting views. You finish the walk at the imposing medieval castle of Bressieux. There are no difficulties to worry about, except for the distance and two slightly steep hills.

This walk presents no major difficulties. It climbs the foothills of the Chambarans and offers many beautiful panoramic views of the Vercors and a few of the Chartreuse. The paths taken are either wide stony tracks or small tarmac roads.

An easy walk, despite the distance. You will walk either through the heart of the plateau's crops or through woods. To finish, you will descend the very pretty Grand Suzon valley. The stream is often dry, but... not always! If the weather is clear, you can enjoy some beautiful views of the surrounding peaks.

A walk well known to Beaurepairois residents: the first 500 metres are very popular with families with children. For a brisk walk, it takes between 15 and 20 minutes, and for walkers, allow 35 to 40 minutes.
