Short walk in Beaurepaire

Park in the small car park at Place du Jeu de Paume. If this is full, you can park in the cinema car park, which is on the route.

(S/E) From the steps of the Salle du Rocher, cross the Place du Jeu de Paume towards the large junction. Cross at the pedestrian crossings, keeping the cinema on your left, and follow the Impasse du Battoir opposite.

(1) Cross the bridge to reach the roundabout. Turn left to walk alongside the swimming pool building, then continue along the campsite’s hedge. Pass between the sports pitches and you’ll arrive at Rue du 5 Août 1944.

(2) Cross the road to reach the pavement opposite, then turn left onto it. Walk on the right-hand side, between the hedge and the tennis courts, and reach the Suzon.

(3) Head right to walk alongside the stream for about 200 metres.

(4) Turn right onto the slightly raised path, running alongside the grounds of the Collège Jacques Brel.

(5) When you reach the water reservoir, carry on straight ahead, cross the first bridge and head towards the Oron, which flows over a second bridge above a stream. In this section, the Oron splits into two streams. Retrace your steps.

(4) Turn left before the water reservoir, then head along the bank of the Oron. Follow the stream; the trees lining the path provide shade in summer. Return to the roundabout by the swimming pool.

(1) Cross the bridge again and retrace your steps in the opposite direction to return to the car park (S/E).

There are no shops along the route.

Women should wear shoes without high heels. There’s no need to bring hiking boots

Nothing special to note except that the last 400 m are particularly pleasant in summer thanks to the shade provided by the trees.
