Short walk in Beaurepaire

A walk well known to Beaurepairois residents: the first 500 metres are very popular with families with children. For a brisk walk, it takes between 20 and 25 minutes at a steady pace, and for walkers, allow 30 to 40 minutes.

Description of the walk

Park in the small car park at Place du Jeu de Paume. If this is full, you can park in the cinema car park, which is on the route.

(S/E) From the stairs of the Salle du Rocher, cross Place du Jeu de Paume towards the large crossroads. Cross at the pedestrian crossing, leaving the cinema on your left, and follow Impasse du Battoir opposite.

(1) Cross the bridge to reach the roundabout. Turn left to walk alongside the swimming pool building, then continue along the hedge of the campsite. Pass between the sports fields and arrive at Rue du 5 Août 1944.

(2) Cross over to the pavement opposite, then turn left. Pass between the hedge and the tennis courts on your right and you will reach Le Suzon.

(3) Turn right and walk along the stream for about 200 metres.

(4) Turn right onto the slightly elevated path, walking alongside the grounds of Collège Jacques Brel.

(5) When you reach the water reservoir, turn right again, then continue straight ahead to reach the banks of the Oron. Follow the stream; the trees lining the path provide shade in summer. Return to the roundabout at the swimming pool.

(1) Cross the bridge again and retrace your steps to return to the car park (S/E).

Worth a visit

Nothing special to note except that the last 400 m are particularly pleasant in summer thanks to the shade provided by the trees.
