Like a lighthouse, the Mont du Môle, standing at 1,863 metres, towers over the Arve and Giffre valleys. I suggest climbing it from Marignier, which involves a considerable elevation gain. The outward leg follows the Chemin de l’Eponnet, and the return route goes via Les Granges. On the upper part of the route, there are numerous vantage points to enjoy.

A classic hike in the Bargy massif, between the Arve valley and the Aravis massif. This fairly challenging route takes you to Lac de Lessy, nestled at 1,700 m at the foot of the Aiguille Verte du Chinaillon, and offers magnificent views from the Col de Sosay. Ibex, once abundant, have unfortunately become rare following their mass culling (2014–2015). The bearded vulture remains, as this is its territory, and can be spotted fairly frequently in the area.
