Access: from Saint-Jean-de-Tholome, take the D20 and turn right at the first road. Pass through Grange Cocarde, Le Biollay, Larsenex, Chez Folliez, Ruddé, Bovère and Le Granges. At the end of the road, park at the car park at Chez Béroud.
(S/E) Start eastwards on a wide forest track that quickly winds to the left and heads north.
(1) At the intersection, follow the signs for "Môle par le petit Môle" to the right. After several hairpin bends, the trail gradually emerges from the forest. The slope becomes steeper and you approach a small mountain restaurant. Reach the summit of Petit Môle.
(2) Continue past the restaurant. The effort to reach the summit of the Môle begins. The slope is much steeper and you tackle the mountain pasture via a path that branches off to the left to the north-west and initially runs along the side of the mountain. Climb up the mountain pasture via two wide hairpin bends and arrive at the junction below the summit with a sign indicating the return route via Plan Meulet.
(4) Continue climbing on the right to reach the Môle.
(4) Return to the junction for Plan Meulet.
(3) Continue straight ahead on the path that climbs the slope for a few hundred metres. Be careful in wet weather, as it is slippery! Reach the Plan Meulet mountain pasture (electric pole).
(5) Turn left, following the sign for "Saint-Jean par la Bossenaz". Follow the path through the mountain pasture, then the forest track.
(6) Leave the forest track as it turns left and continue straight ahead on a narrower path marked with fluorescent yellow. Follow a few hairpin bends, then head south to reach the intersection you passed on the way up.
(1) Keep to the right and continue south on the uphill path to descend to the car park at the start (S/E)..
