La Durance walks
Trou de l'Argent cave - Montagne de la Baume
This hike takes you to the top of La Baume. Magnificent views of Sisteron, the surrounding valleys and the Alps. You then cross to the other side of the mountain, revealing yet another landscape. But first, you will need to pass through the Grotte du Trou de l'Argent, which adds a touch of adventure to the route. During your journey, you will also use handrails, small ladders and cross a balcony.

The Orgon plateau

Serre-Ponçon Lake - Between Baie Saint-Michel and Baie des Moulettes
This walk allows you to discover the Lac de Serre-Ponçon with some fairly wild sections. It also offers magnificent views of the surrounding peaks.

Between Lac de Serre-Ponçon and the hills, come and discover a loop that takes you closer to the history of this region. At the bottom of the creeks are viaducts and tunnels that are visible when the lake level drops!

Embrun - From the lake to the cliff
A lovely little walk, almost entirely flat, which will take you from the shores of Lake Serre-Ponçon to the foot of the Embrun cliff.

Notre-Dame des Neiges

Another way to discover Embrun. Walk on the rock from the viewpoint, then under the rock with its gardens and canals, a short detour to discover the Durance before completing the circular route in Embrun via the cathedral, the Maison des Chanonges, and the Tour Brune.

Ancient Fort of Gondran or Sommet des Anges via Lac des Sarailles
A historic hike with a visit to two Maginot forts, a ridge walk with views of a multitude of peaks in the Écrins, Cerces, Italy and Queyras ranges, a descent to two pretty lakes and a return through a landscape of chimneys with another view of the Écrins. These are the ingredients of one of the most beautiful routes in the Briançonnais.
Sur les hauteurs de Sisteron
A short hike that's perfect for exploring Sisteron from all angles! Passing by the cemetery, you'll find a quiet little path that leads to Route de Ribier. Head back towards Sisteron, then take the Sentier du Molard trail and return via the stunning Thor plateau. Walkers with dogs will be delighted.
Vauban city - Pont d'Asfeld - Fort des Trois Têtes - Parc de la Schappe
An easy family hike. Caution in the mountains: children must be supervised at all times due to the presence of ravines. Round trip route in the Vauban city of Briançon. Numerous viewpoints and historical sites of great interest.
Sur la crête de la Montagne du Mollard
This hike is for those who:- want to walk 10 km at a good pace. It is a mostly flat trail, good for pacing.
- are afraid of the sun and heat. It is 90% covered by dense vegetation.
- enjoy peace and quiet. The area is much less frequented than the Baume mountain.This mountain is not named on maps. Here you will hike its entire length, along the north side and then along the ridge.
Tour of the small lake of Embrun
Embrun is a town located in the heart of the Durance Valley. Rich in history, it is located not far from Lake Serre-Ponçon. There is a small lake next to it. Walking around it is a pleasant stroll, with views of the surrounding mountains, including Pic de Morgon and Mont Guillaume. It is a walk that can be enjoyed with young children.
