The starting point is at the Roman bridge in Lurs, where there are several parking options.
(S/E) Take the path that climbs up the left bank of the Vallon du Buès and follows its course. However, don't hesitate to follow a few paths that lead down to the Buès itself to admire the pretty pools and small waterfalls when the water level is high enough.
(1) When the path reaches the stream, wade across and climb up the other bank until you reach a track.
(2) Continue along this track to the right until you reach a large crossroads.
(3) Continue on the track on the right: arrow "Dur H14".
(4) Pass the ruins of the Roussets farm, staying on the main path and ignoring the various turnoffs.
(5) At thesecond three-way junction, at the corners of the cultivated fields, keep right and, at the next junction (elevation 580), keep left (do not go down into the meadow) and continue until you reach a perpendicular track.
(6) Continue to the left and, a few hundred metres further on, you will come to a path coming from the left with red and whiteGR® markings.
(7) From this point, simply follow these markings and the directional arrows towards Ganagobie Monastery. Turn right, keep to the right at the three-way junction and continue. Ignore a path on the right and you will reach a junction a hundred metres further on.
(8) Turn right and start the climb towards the monastery and the Ganagobie plateau.
(9) Don't hesitate to turn left towards the site of Villevieille and its ruins.
(10) Complete the circular loop to return to the previous fork.
(9) Keep to the right, then veer left and join the access road to the Ganagobie Monastery site.
(11) Turn left.
(12) Visit the church and its mosaics, then climb up to the cross overlooking the Durance valley.
(13) Descend to the priory and rejoin the GR®.
(11) Follow it straight ahead until the first hairpin bend on the left.
(14) Take the path on the right, which avoids several bends in the road before rejoining it.
(15) Continue straight ahead, cut across another bend and then follow the road. Leave it again to take the path that runs parallel to it and then crosses it several times before arriving at the Roman bridge in Lurs (S/E).
