A fashionable spa town with a history built on its saline springs, Leamington Spa’s beautiful town centre is known for its Regency architecture, wide boulevards and award-winning gardens. First following the Grand Union Canal and then the River Leam, this trail takes you into the surrounding countryside to the village of Offchurch. On your route you can explore the Leam Valley Local Nature Reserve and Newbold Comyn, as well as the renowned Jephson Gardens. Branch out from this fashionable spa town to follow the Grand Union Canal to the village of Offchurch and back via Newbold Comyn.

Set on the River Avon, this historic market town is full of medieval, Georgian and Victorian architecture and graced with beautiful gardens and parks, crowned by its world famous Warwick Castle – the ancestral home of the Earls of Warwick.

A Warwickshire walk full of interest. The route passes a restored windmill, follows two sections of canal and visits the summit of Beacon Hill which offers good views across the surrounding countryside.

The route soon joins The Millennium Way along the Oxford canal then across flat farmland & open countryside, turning south to follow the Grand Union Canal and Oxford Canal providing a feast for those interested in narrow boats and history of our canal network. A breath of fresh air as you wander through tranquil farmland with wonderful views over Warwick and meander along the towpath of the Grand Union Canal to the famous locks at Hatton. Strike out into glorious rolling countryside en route to Hatton’s famous flight of 21 locks on the Grand Union Canal.

This walk goes across mostly flat open countryside between Hunningham and Weston under Wetherley. The first part of the walk follows a very short section of the Millennium Way. This is the walk 8 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

A nice route around the perimeter of this Severn Trent reservoir. Start and end at the car park - there are charges, but not unreasonable. A small detour brings you to the trig-point on Hensborough Hill (see map). The route is suitable for walking or cycling. There are a couple of stretches where there is a steep climb / descent, so it might not be suitable for those with accessibility needs; however the straight dog-legged section of path to the east of the reservoir runs along a dam wall with a wide footpath and absolutely no gradient. There's also a small cafe in the visitors hub -check their website for opening times of both the park & visitor hub. Dogs are not allowed on the circular Reservoir Trail but can use the Country Park and Hensborough Trail. Find more information on the Severn Trent reservoir website
