Drayton walks

A lovely circular walk from the delightful village of Cropredy in the Cherwell Valley, three miles north of Banbury and close to Exit 11 on the M40. During this circular walk you will enjoy three delightful villages, some open countryside and farmland, quiet lanes and an attractive section of the Oxford Canal. This delightful walk explores parts of Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire using a section of the Millennium Way. The route starts from Middleton cheney and continues via Thenford, Upper Wardington and Chacombe back to the start.

This delightful circular walk starts from The Hollybush public house in Priors Marston. It mostly goes across flat farmland and passing through splendid woodland. There are only a few inclines. This is walk 22 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

An interesting and varied walk along the stream/river valleys of the River Glyme and a tributary, and through the park of a country house with several eccentric features. On the way, you can stop at a nature reserve of natural Cotswold limestone grassland. The first half of the walk follows Shakespeare's Way.

This circular walk incorporates two idyllic villages, quiet country lanes, pleasant woodland, open countryside, and an interesting church at Hellidon. A small section of the walk crosses Hellidon Lakes Golf Course, so extra care should be taken near the fairways. This is arguably one of our most scenic walks. A short circular walk near Napton. Wonderful views and the famous Napton Windmill. For over half the walk you enjoy a delightful section of the Millenium Way. The way is clearly signed with our distinctive black and white waymarkers. This is walk 14 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

A Warwickshire walk full of interest. The route passes a restored windmill, follows two sections of canal and visits the summit of Beacon Hill which offers good views across the surrounding countryside.

This circular walk, nearly all off-road, offers good views and interesting churches.

This circular walk starts at The Kings Head, near Napton on the A425 where you can obtain refreshments. The route soon joins The Millennium Way along the Oxford canal then across flat farmland & open countryside, turning south to follow the Grand Union Canal and Oxford Canal providing a feast for those interested in narrow boats and history of our canal network. This is walk 25 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

This route around Wellesbourne area is mostly on minor roads, some gravel tracks, and steep hills. However, you will get good Views.

This circular walk brings you to visit Wasperton along Thelsford Brook and across farmlands. It is an easy walk, no significant inclines or declines, and only a few stiles/gates to navigate.

This is a good walk at any time but really good in spring when the bluebells are out in Badby Woods and butterflies are exploring the hedgerows. The route passes through some scenic Northamptonshire villages and includes small stretches of the Nene and Knightley Ways.
