Hanwell walks

A lovely circular walk from the delightful village of Cropredy in the Cherwell Valley, three miles north of Banbury and close to Exit 11 on the M40. This is lovely walk through the rolling hills and valleys in North West Oxfordshire. Starting at the Monkeybean Café on the Sugarswell Business Park. OX1 5 6HW . The walk follows the Macmillan Way and descends towards Alkerton before climbing up to Shenington before returning to Sugaswell Business Park.

This easy circular walk provides a good way to discover two lovely villages with thatched houses, particularly Great Tew! On you way, you will also explore the quiet countryside and enjoy lovely churches and a beautiful giant sequoia!

This circular walk incorporates two idyllic villages, quiet country lanes, pleasant woodland, open countryside, and an interesting church at Hellidon. A small section of the walk crosses Hellidon Lakes Golf Course, so extra care should be taken near the fairways. This is arguably one of our most scenic walks. A short circular walk near Napton. Wonderful views and the famous Napton Windmill. For over half the walk you enjoy a delightful section of the Millenium Way. The way is clearly signed with our distinctive black and white waymarkers. This is walk 14 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

A Warwickshire walk full of interest. The route passes a restored windmill, follows two sections of canal and visits the summit of Beacon Hill which offers good views across the surrounding countryside.

This circular walk starts at The Kings Head, near Napton on the A425 where you can obtain refreshments. The route soon joins The Millennium Way along the Oxford canal then across flat farmland & open countryside, turning south to follow the Grand Union Canal and Oxford Canal providing a feast for those interested in narrow boats and history of our canal network. This circular walk, nearly all off-road, offers good views and interesting churches.

An interesting and varied walk along the stream/river valleys of the River Glyme and a tributary, and through the park of a country house with several eccentric features. On the way, you can stop at a nature reserve of natural Cotswold limestone grassland. The first half of the walk follows Shakespeare's Way.

This route around Wellesbourne area is mostly on minor roads, some gravel tracks, and steep hills. However, you will get good Views.

This circular walk brings you to visit Wasperton along Thelsford Brook and across farmlands. It is an easy walk, no significant inclines or declines, and only a few stiles/gates to navigate.

This is an attractive walk encompassing some delightful canal towpaths, mostly flat through countryside and woodland near the lovely villages of Long Itchington and Stockton. This is walk 15 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

This is a good walk at any time but really good in spring when the bluebells are out in Badby Woods and butterflies are exploring the hedgerows. The route passes through some scenic Northamptonshire villages and includes small stretches of the Nene and Knightley Ways.

A lovely walk from Long Itchington, a village with 7 pubs nearby! it goes over open fields and back along a stretch of the Grand Union Canal. This is walk 26 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

Within a short driving distance of Leamington Spa, this circular walk starts at The Stag in the lovely village of Offchurch, Warwickshire. This is walk 27 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

The first half of this country walk follows the route of The Millennium Way as far as Newbold Comyn Park before returning along a lovely section of the Grand Union Canal, then along the Offchurch Greenway to return back to Offchurch. This is walk 28 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.

This is the 9th section of the Millenium Way 100 miles from Leamington Spa to Long Itchington.

A fashionable spa town with a history built on its saline springs, Leamington Spa’s beautiful town centre is known for its Regency architecture, wide boulevards and award-winning gardens. First following the Grand Union Canal and then the River Leam, this trail takes you into the surrounding countryside to the village of Offchurch. On your route you can explore the Leam Valley Local Nature Reserve and Newbold Comyn, as well as the renowned Jephson Gardens. Branch out from this fashionable spa town to follow the Grand Union Canal to the village of Offchurch and back via Newbold Comyn.

This easy circular town walk can be completed in under two hours, but it is better to take at least a half day, so that you can explore some of the monuments, historical sites along the way, linger in the attractive parks, visit the museum and cafe in the Pump Rooms and enjoy the tranquillity of the Grand Union Canal and River Leam. On this circular walk, short sections of the route are along roads but mostly you will be walking along the riverbank, near to parks, or by the canal. Also, you will pass the historic Warwick Castle and St. John's House Museum near to the centre of Warwick. During the first part of the walk, you will enjoy a short section of The Millennium Way where it follows the Grand Union Canal. This is the walk 10 from the 44 composing the Millenium Way.
