From Bressieux to Le Billoux via Les Fouillouses

A varied walk, located on the northern foothills of the Chambarans. You walk along a small stream before climbing the hills to enjoy some interesting views. You finish the walk at the imposing medieval castle of Bressieux.
There are no difficulties to worry about, except for the distance and two slightly steep hills.
Étang des Essarts via the Tourbière des Planchettes

Walk in the Chambaran forest. Discover ponds and wetlands. Discover rare plants and a species of dragonfly called "Codulegastre annelé" at the Tourbière des Planchettes.

It's a fairly short walk, but at times it goes up and down, so it's quite demanding on the legs.
In Mandrin country

Wind through the valleys between Brion and Saint-Michel-de-Saint-Geoirs, then climb up to the ridge where you will have 360° views of Mezenc, Pilat, the Plaine de la Bièvre, the Chartreuse, Belledone, and the Vercors.
End by walking through Mouillasson forest to get back to your vehicle.
Chambaran - From Etang Fouaty to Chapelle Saint-Alban

The first part of the walk takes place in the coolness of the Chambaran forest. Then you walk along the ridge and enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
The ruins of Bocsozel Castle from Gillonnay

A short walk on the moraine between the Bièvre and Liers plains, with views of the surrounding mountains. You will go to the Château de Bocsozel and return via the Château Pointière.
The hillside of La Côte Saint-André

You climb the hillside of La Côte Saint-André (ND de Sciez) from where you have a remarkable view: from the Monts du Pilat in the west to the Mont du Chat in the north-east, passing through the Vercors, Belledonne and Chartreuse.
From certain vantage points, on clear days you can even see the summit of Mont Blanc.
On the way back, you will pass by the village's main attractions.
Bocsozel trail

This hilly hike will take you past castles and fortified houses (La Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Mont and the ruins of Bocsozel). The route also offers magnificent views of the Alps.
This hike follows a small section of the Via Gebennensis. The Via Gebennensis connects Geneva to Le Puy-en-Velay. It is the route that Swiss and German pilgrims have always taken to reach the pilgrimage route from Santiago de Compostela to Le Puy.
La Côte Saint-André through the ridges

This route, which passes by two viewpoint indicators, offers amazing views over plaine de la Bièvre and the Vercors and the Chartreuse mountain ranges.
The Secret Wood of Gargamelle

Immerse yourself in the Chambaran Forest from the Trappe.
Head to Gargamelle, a ruin in a clearing, to see the Smurfs or, if not, deer or roe deer.
Walk part of the Way of St James in Chambaran.

From Izeaux to Notre-Dame de la Croix

From the village of Izeaux, you climb up to the Domaine de Parménie where you can admire the charming Chapelle de Notre-Dame de la Croix. From the orientation table, you will have a panoramic view from the Mont du Chat in the Ain to the peaks of the north-east of the Vercors.
From Saint-Paul d'Izeaux to the village of Plan

A very varied walk. In the first part, you walk alongside magnificent ponds covered with water lilies. The return via Camp de César offers magnificent views of the Bièvre plain and the surrounding mountains.
At the edge of the woods, discover the village of Izeaux
This is a fairly short trail through the village of Izeaux. It takes you around the centre of the village, and offers some lovely views of the village.Take a few 'tracolets' through the heart of the village, and you'll discover some of the remarkable features of Izeaux.

Circuit from Champ Floux to Vatilieu

This is a pleasant walk. You will pass through walnut groves and the valleys of the Chambarans foothills, enjoy the undergrowth and, at the end, take in the exceptional views of the Pre-Alps and the Alps, all enhanced by the sculptures of the "Arts aux 4 vents" at the end of the trail.
Wallaby circuit

A short walk in the heart of the Pajay plain, but which climbs the hill at the end. It takes place on small, quiet roads or good gravel paths.
The Étangs de Nantoin

An easy walk among the ponds in the heart of the Nantoin Forest. At the end of the walk, you will be rewarded with a splendid view of the Liers plain, the Chartreuse, the Alps and the Vercors.

From Dionay to Saint-Antoine l'Abbaye

La Croisée des Plâtres at the start of Chevrières

This walk presents no major difficulties. It climbs the foothills of the Chambarans and offers many beautiful panoramic views of the Vercors and a few of the Chartreuse. The paths taken are either wide stony tracks or small tarmac roads.
From Saint-Appolinard to Chevrières via the Saint-Pierre chapel

This is an easy hike, except for its length. It will take you through woods, walnut orchards and fields on the southern slope of the Chambarans.
Beautiful views of the Vercors.
The Chapel of Epinouze

You will walk alongside several ponds.
From Bizonnes to the ponds of Saint-Didier-de-Bizonnes

This is an easy walk that takes you past Dauphiné houses, the ponds of Saint-Didier-de-Bizonnes and the Brosses forest. In the second part of the walk, you will enjoy some beautiful views of the surrounding peaks (even the summit of Mont Blanc).
Circuit of the Croix du Moine Mort and Notre-Dame de Milin

A lovely little walk in the Dauphiné countryside. Halfway through, you will climb a little way up into the forest to the Croix du Moine Mort (Dead Monk's Cross), before descending to the charming Notre-Dame de Milin Chapel.
The Clock Tower and Saint Hugon Chapel

This walk presents no major difficulties apart from the distance. The first part takes place mainly in the woods, the second in the Dauphiné bocage. It will take you past several ponds, up to the Clock Tower, and to the amazing Saint-Hugon Chapel.
The Monks' Path in Lieudieu

This walk is not difficult. It alternates between woodland and the Dauphiné bocage. It takes you past three beautiful residences: the fortified house of Cazeneuve, Bonnevaux Castle and Avril (or Arzay) Castle, as well as a few ponds.
The Taillis de la Dame and the Bois du Seigneur in Châbons

A beautiful walk in the Nord Isère. Your walk, in a hilly environment, takes you through alternating bocage and undergrowth. There are no particular difficulties to be feared on this route (except for an unguarded level crossing to cross...).
Nan Gorges - Gerlette Waterfall

Pretty steep-sided gorge through which the Nan torrent flows. You can take a dip in the torrent in summer. A wooded trail that is lovely to stroll along.
This hike can be split into two parts. In summer, only the gorges are interesting, as the Gerlette waterfall may be dry. Best done in spring when the waters are flowing freely.
