Plouigneau walks
From Plougonven to the two menhirs via the Bois de Gaspern
A gateway into Finistère via the Monts d’Arrée: the small medieval town of Plougonven, with its parish enclosure, lies close to the Gaspern forest. At the southern end of this route, two menhirs stand alone in a field.
Garlan circular route
This walk was created for guests at the Ferme de Croaz Men (Croaz Men on maps). However, part of the route described here, which bypasses the farm, is accessible to everyone starting from Garlan. It is a short circular route that takes you past a wash house, a few pretty houses with their hydrangeas, and crosses the River Dourduff. Guests at Croas Men, see this link.
Walk in Plouégat-Guérand
A walk to discover the beautiful Saint-Agapit Church in Plouégat-Guérand, with its rich collection of polychrome sculptures, as well as a pretty fountain. The main street, Place du Bourg, is lined with traditional village houses.
Porz Meur Tumulus Route
This is a short, easy route that takes you through the village and allows you to discover the fully restored Saint-Agapit Church, the Porz Meur Tumulus, which probably dates back to the Bronze Age, and the surrounding countryside.
Route to discover Morlaix
A walk to discover Morlaix. Along this route, you’ll find a few churches and chapels, including the beautiful Saint-Mélaine Church, some stunning murals, the viaduct, a lovely wash house and a few fountains, numerous medieval half-timbered houses, picturesque narrow streets, alleyways and stairways (which involve quite a bit of climbing), the former tobacco factory, the former monastic quarters on the town’s hillside, but also plenty of car parks and traffic – even right in the town centre – and the regrettable absence of the River Morlaix, which has been covered over by a car park upstream of the harbour.
The lower Douron valley
Starting from the village of Pont Menou, follow the River Douron to its estuary between the headlands of Locquirec and l’Armorique. After enjoying a few views of the open sea, you’ll return via the higher ground of the valley. The route passes through numerous hamlets, some with beautiful houses, chapels and fountains, as well as ancient Roman baths. You’ll also enjoy stunning views of the Tour d’Argent and Île Blanche manor houses.
The Jarlot and Tromorgan valleys
Explore the narrow streets and traditional houses of Morlaix, then follow the Morlaix-Carhaix greenway and the Jarlot and Tromorgant valleys.
Around Guerlesquin
Guerlesquin, a small town full of character, was known in the 11th century for its fairs. From the 17th century, beautiful buildings remain in the town centre: the Présidial, the Market Halls and the Church. The town is close to the Étang du Guic, where two fine sandy beaches await walkers.After walking around the lake, we explore the nearby forest, moving in turn from Finistère into Côtes-d’Armor before returning to Finistère. Indeed, it is the river ‘Le Guic’ that forms the departmental boundary.
The circular routes of the Chapelles route south of Plestin-les-Grèves
This is an easy walk, except for the distance, which combines sunken paths and wide forest lanes, as well as chapels and castles, not to mention streams and brooks, with the English Channel as a backdrop.
The Pennélé Valley and the River Morlaix
After crossing a residential area via shaded paths, don’t be put off by a short stretch of tarmac running parallel to the main road. After Bot-Balan, the route consists solely of forest paths along the river. After the Chapel of La Salette, a magnificent covered walkway will take you back to the start.

The Corniche de l'Armorique starting from Plestin-les-Grèves
Setting off from Plestin-les-Grèves, you very quickly catch sight of Grève Saint-Michel, where, at low tide, the English Channel recedes into the horizon, creating a vast expanse for all kinds of wind sports: sand yachting, windsurfing, kite flying, etc...
Then, following theGR®34, you walk along the Corniche de l’Armorique, discovering Lannion Bay and the mouth of the Douron. Opposite lies Locquirec and Finistère.
History is also present in the form of the Gallo-Roman thermal baths.
Saint-Haran circular
Hike along the banks of the Douron: nature, birds, tranquillity. The Saint-Haran circular route is part of the chapel route.
The Douron Valley
Discover the banks of the Douron, the coastal river that separates the Côtes d'Armor and Finistère departments. Right from the start, you will have to cross a pass: the Col de Saint-Haran (24 metres!), as indicated on the sign at the top. You will cross into a different department when you cross the bridge next to the Moulin de Moualhic, and again at Pont Menou.
The tip of Armorique
A beautiful hike, much of it taking place along the seafront corniche. Along the way, you can add a visit to a Gallo-Roman site and take a refreshing dip!
Discovering Locquirec
The Pointe de Locquirec offers wonderful landscapes! From Pointe Blanche, the whole bay of Locquirec opens up to walkers, with a different landscape depending on the sea level, followed by the beauty of Kerboulic and its second homes, bursting with sunshine on the Plage des Sables Blancs and Pointe du Corbeau, and finally ending with Pointe du Château and the small port of Locquirec.
Circular route around Locquirec via Île Blanche and Les Sables Blancs
This easy hike will take you from one side of the Locquirec headland to the other, following the left bank of the Douron estuary, then through the countryside, vegetable fields and pretty valleys hiding small streams, until you reach the north-western coast of the headland. The GR® 34 offers beautiful views from the rocky points of Corbeau and Château. You will also walk along beautiful beaches, such as Sables Blancs, Porz Biliec and Fond de la Baie, where you can walk along the shore as you please, depending on the tide. You will also pass through part of Locquirec, where you can admire the church, the narrow streets, the small harbour and the seafront, which you will follow to the end.
Pointe de l’Armorique from Saint-Efflam
A circular walk starting from Saint-Efflam, initially through the countryside, dotted with fountains and a few pretty houses, before reaching the Douron estuary and continuing along the coastal path beside the Douron cove, then along the Pointe de l’Armorique cliff-top path, between the headlands of Plestin and Beg Douar. You’ll pass by the ancient Roman baths at Hogolo and have the option of heading down to some small beaches.
The Grand Rocher of Saint-Efflam
The Grand Rocher towers 84 m above the Lieue de Grève and offers stunning views in all directions. You’ll climb to the top during this walk, which also takes you along the beach and through the countryside, past beautiful country houses and the Saint-Efflam Fountain.

This beautiful circular walk is divided into two parts.
The first part follows the customs officers' path and runs along the seafront, passing numerous viewpoints, headlands and beaches until it reaches the banks of the Douron estuary.
The second part winds through the countryside of valleys and hamlets, revealing pretty manor houses before reaching its climax at the seaside, at an altitude of 84 metres, at the top of the Grand Rocher, which offers an exceptional view of almost the entire bay of Lannion and the Plestinaise countryside.

Tour of Pointe de Loquirec
To walk around the Pointe de Locquirec, this route begins with a stretch through the countryside, past fields of artichokes and cereals, and through hamlets, before reaching the coast at the Douron estuary. It then follows the GR®34 coastal path, passing through the centre of Locquirec. You can enjoy Moulin de la Rive Beach on your return from the walk.
Walk from Mathurine to Locquénolé
Mathurine was a young girl who spent her holidays in Locquénolé in 1925, regularly sending postcards to her parents depicting various places in the village, accompanied by a short story. The village has devised this short walk taking in the sites shown on these postcards. It is marked by information boards. You’ll discover a beautiful church, a wash house and some remarkable trees.

Route from Beg An Fry to Moulin de la Rive in Guimaëc
This route follows the Sentier des DouaniersGR®®34coastal path for a third of the way and takes us along country lanes for the rest. Blue highlights: the sea cliffs, the headland and hillside of Beg an Fry, the sweeping views over the beaches. Green highlights: the tree-lined paths, the restored mill at Trobodec, the Chapelle de Christ and its fountains, the springs... A fine showcase of Northern Brittany.
The Grand Rocher and the Pointe de l'Armorique
Discover Grève Saint-Michel: a bay where the sea retreats more than 2 km; first by climbing the Grand Rocher for a breathtaking panorama, then, closer up, by walking along the beach, and finally, admiring it from the famousGR®34hiking trail. You will continue to admire Lannion Bay as you skirt around the Pointe de l'Armorique and, more specifically, the Pointe de Plestin, before following the Douron estuary, admiring the chapel and fountain, and returning to Saint-Efflam.
Tréduder and its streams
The commune of Tréduder is bounded by three streams: to the west, the Roscoat; to the south, the Dour Plat, which flows into the Yar, marking the commune’s eastern boundary. This walk takes you along these streams, but numerous small streams feed into them, making certain sections very wet in spring.
Locquirec and its beaches
A small seaside resort, Locquirec is the gateway to Finistère when approaching from the east via the north coast. The D142 crosses the River Douron, which marks the boundary between the Côtes d’Armor and Finistère.During this walk, before reaching the golden sandy beaches, you’ll discover the rocky headland of Le Corbeau, then, further inland, some beautiful holiday homes, before arriving at the small fishing harbour and finally reaching the second rocky headland: the Pointe du Château.
Around the ‘Doigt de Saint-Jean’
A walk to discover a beautiful fountain, the Pen ar C’hra Fountain, followed by the village and the parish enclosure of St John the Baptist’s Church, with its Renaissance-style fountain, Feunten ar Bis, and its Oratory of the Coronation.
Barnenez Peninsula and Térénez Cove
Barnenez is best known for the cairn that dominates the headland and stands out in the landscape. It is also a peninsula that you can walk around. Whether you walk along the Anse de Térenez or the Morlaix River, at high or low tide, you will find yourself in a multifaceted place, with the majestic site of the entrance to the Morlaix River and its iconic monuments as a backdrop.
The Donan Valley and Saint-Jean-du-Doigt as seen from Plougasnou
A hike mainly through the countryside along the Donan Valley, passing several fountains, the Saint-Mélar Chapel, the remarkable parish enclosure at Saint-Jean-du-Doigt, and a number of oratories. At the end of the route, a return trip along the coastal path offers a view of the sea. The starting point, near the beach, allows you to enjoy the beach at the end of the hike.
Circular route from Saint-Michel-en-Grève to Locquémeau
This circular route starting from Toul ar Villin will take you to the Port of Locquémeau and Pointe de Séhar via rural paths in the bocage countryside around Trédrez-Locquémeau. Take the time to stroll around the harbour and walk around Pointe de Séhar. If the tide allows, venture onto the sharp rocks and climb up to the place known as "Le Château". The return journey is via the GR® 34 coastal path, passing through Beg an Evned, the cliffs of Trédrez and Beg ar Forn.
There are no particular difficulties on this excursion between land and sea, except for the hilly terrain of the coastline.
Reach the heights of Saint-Michel-en-Grève to admire the bay.
The Bay of Saint-Michel-en-Grève is one of the most beautiful in Trégor, despite the major cleaning problems caused by the presence of green algae. At low tide, the sea recedes so far that it is barely visible. At high tide, the waves break on the coastal road.
The Cliffs of Trédrez
A very beautiful hike along the cliffs of Trédrez-Locquémeau with varied landscapes (moors, cliffs, hedgerows and reed beds) and magnificent views of Grève Saint-Michel.
Countryside and coastal path around Trédrez
From the small village of Trédrez, where the memory of Saint-Yves still lingers, shaded paths lead to the GR®34 near Saint-Michel-en-Grève. The route then follows a section of the Trédrez Cliffs route before, after a fairly steep climb, joining a small country road and arriving opposite the imposing Church of Notre-Dame-de-Trédrez.
Along the Anse de Térénez
Discover the Finistère region of Trégor and the Bay of Morlaix, protected by Vauban with the Château du Taureau. Discover that here too you are in oyster country.
You will also see the Barnénez peninsula, famous for its spectacular cairns: stone tombs dating from the Neolithic period (around 4,000 BC).
Pointe du Diben via Saint-Samson and Tromelin
Pointe du Diben: a classic section ofthe GR®34coastal path, offering gradual views of Morlaix Bay and its many islands and peninsulas.
Magnificent views stretching as far as Île de Batz and Roscoff, with landscapes that change completely depending on the tide, the colour of the sky and the light.
Beautiful residences on the return route along fields and sunken lanes.
From Port Blanc Beach to Térénez and back
Hike along the GR®34 at the eastern entrance to Morlaix Bay. Not particularly difficult, but there are a few tricky descents and ascents. The trail passes by some magnificent properties and offers breathtaking views of Morlaix Bay. Best done in both directions, at different times of day and at different times of the tide.
