(S/E) At the gable end of the new town hall building (sign), turn right onto a schist-paved path known as the Pavé de Saint-Yves (named after the former rector of Trédrez), which leads to the old presbytery, a beautiful 17th-century building surrounded by high walls. Opposite the building, by the small road, admire the beautiful fountain dedicated to Saint Lawrence. Turn right towards the south and, at the junction with Rue des Fontaines, look out for another fountain dedicated to the Virgin Mary, which feeds a wash house via a catchment basin.
(1) Continue straight on and, at the crossroads opposite the sewage treatment plant, turn right until you reach the first Fork in the road near a house.
(2) Take the sharp left onto the tarmac access road to the houses at Hent Ar Rest, and continue straight on along a grassy, shaded path which joins a small road at a place called Le Rest (signposted). Turn right for about fifty metres.
(3) At the Kerouguel sign, turn right onto a new grassy path which leads to a small road. Cross the road and continue straight ahead along a very steep path flanked by high embankments, which leads to another small road.
(4) Turn left, cross Kerouguel (a beautiful building on the right) and follow this road downhill to a larger road, Hent Toull Ar Vilin.
(5) Take the hairpin bend to the right and descend to the car park opposite Grève de Saint-Michel-en-Grève (stunning views).
GR®34 marked in white and red
(6) Head right, climb a long flight of steps and continue along the coastal path, which offers sweeping views of the Grève de Saint-Michel from this village as far as Saint-Efflam. Ignore a path leading uphill to the right and arrive at Pointe de Beg ar Forn, where the Trédrez cliffs begin.

(7) Please note: from this point, for safety reasons, the GR® is diverted onto the PR® des Falaises de Trédrez route. The stony path climbs steeply up the cliff face to a small pine copse. Those less confident may find it helpful to use their hands for support. You’ll come out onto a small road near a large building, a former holiday camp. Follow this road to the right, pass Pen ar Min and reach Kerbiriou a few metres further on (cross and a beautiful building with a stone turret on the right).
Unmarked
(8) Turn left, then right onto a small country lane which joins a larger road. Follow it to the left to reach Trédrez at the end of Hent Kéraotred. Turn left onto Rue Sant Erwan, then enter the enclosure of Notre-Dame de Trédrez (16th century, Flamboyant Gothic style by Philippe Beaumanoir). Return via the right, Rue des Fontaines, to the town hall car park (S/E).
