Description of the walk

Park in the car park at Place du Pouliet in Morlaix, near the tax office.
(S/E) Leaving Place du Pouliet, take Rue du Parc at the roundabout between the banks; after 150m, turn right onto Rue Toul an Parc and, 30m further on, turn left at the gable end of the building into Venelle MenGwen. Turn left near the colourful buildings, and opposite the old wash house, climb the steps on the right and turn immediately left (admire the town of Morlaix and its viaduct behind you), and follow the path through the woods to join a road. Head down to the left and rejoin the path on the right. After a stretch on tarmac, turn left and then left again. You’ll find theGR®380.

(1) Follow it to the entrance to Kerolzic.

(2) Before the farm, leave theGR® and head down to the left.
You’ll soon come to a road; take it to the right, then left twice. Go round the village of Penn ar ParK. You’ll reach another junction before Penhoat.

(3) Turn right twice into the valley. Head down to the road, then take a path on the left (10m); 100m after the village of Kervec, take the sunken path on the left and cross a river, the Jarlot. Reach the hamlet of Kerdannot.

(4) Before the old railway bridge, walk along a field and head down to the old track. 30 to 40m before the bridge, take the path on the right, cross the bridge and head towards Penrugaro on the left.

(5) Cross the D9 and turn left onto the road towards Creach Gwen. Continue on thePR® (yellow markings) and join theGR®380.

(6) Turn onto theGR®, to the left. Head towards Moulin Bréon along the Tromorgant river, then Moulin Compézou, and emerge at a car park beside the D9.

(7) Continue along the old railway line, now a cycle path, to an old station.

(8) Turn left just before it, to head down Rue du Moulin de la Chèvre. Turn right onto it, then left onto Rue de Callac. Continue south to rejoin Rue de Kerveguen and reach the car park (S/E).

A pleasant walk through lovely woodland and along a stream.
Not too much tarmac, except in the town of Morlaix, of course.
