Refine your search for walks in Norway
Kirkeporten in Skarsvag

A short hike in the far north of Europe in Skarsvag (in English, the church gate). This trail takes you to the stunning natural arch of Kirkeporten with the North Cape in the background.
Preikestolen

One of Norway's most famous hikes is the climb up Preikestolen (or Pulpit Rock) above the Lysefjord. It is moderately difficult, so I recommend doing this hike in summer. It is very touristy but definitely worth it. Preikestolen is a must-see if you are in the Stavanger area. The cliff rises 604 metres above the fjord. The flat summit makes it a beautiful viewpoint.
Skageflå to Geiranger

This is a spectacular hike on the right bank of the Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From the shore, you will climb to an altitude of 580 m before returning to Geiranger via the mountain. All along the way, you can admire the fjord and its mountains with their snow-capped peaks.
Blåisvatnet Lake
Beautiful route to a lake at the foot of the mountains.
The route is marked with red stones, which are not always visible when there is snow.
Double loop at Cape Lindesnes

In the far south of Norway, a short walk along the coast to discover a wide variety of landscapes including rocky outcrops, lakes and short grass meadows, with superb views of the North Sea.
Hillesøya
An easy hike to discover Sommaroy Island and its surroundings.
The three peaks of Mefjorden: Hesten, Segla, Barden
The hike passes three peaks, among the most spectacular on the island of Senja, which overlook the Mefjorden fjord from a height of over 500 m. It is possible to climb all three peaks, two or just one.
Opo waterfall loop
Short hike east of Lofthus, with a nice view of two waterfalls.
Hardanger fruktsti
A short hike to discover one of Norway's largest fruit-growing regions.
Billingen loop

A trail through Norwegian forests and moors, crossing two rivers and offering magnificent views, all in just 3 km, with a good restaurant at the end (and free toilets...).
Steep climb (but not difficult) at the start, then crossing a stone bridge, not recommended for people with vertigo; not easy for dogs either (but doable).
Coastal path via Korsvika
This is a pleasant hike along the coast of Trondheim, passing several nice viewpoints, including the cliff at Korsvika.
Loop via Geitfjellet and Våttakammen
Loop west of Trondheim via two small peaks, with views of the city, the valley and the fjord.
Visorando app highly recommended.
Coastal path between Spro and Fjellstrand
A pleasant coastal hike with interesting sections, beautiful views of the fjord and a cave to visit!
Gaupesteinmarka Nature Reserve
Hike starting from Ytre Enebakk and through the Gaupesteinmarka nature reserve.
Lake and peat bogs on Vestvågøya

An easy route that winds through peat bogs and crosses numerous lakes. Its final destination, Kringbotnsvatnet, is a fairly large lake at an altitude of 250 metres. Along the way, the view stretches far out to sea and the mountains of the Lofoten Islands.
Panorama of the Lofoten Islands

This hike offers magnificent views of the Lofoten Islands on a clear day. If you are not sure of your footing, be careful, as some sections are on scree and the descent is a little slippery.
Rovijokfossen

A very short hike down to Rovijokfossen, a 28-metre-high waterfall.
Tour of Lake Nikka (Nikkavatnet rundt)

An easy hike around a small lake with beautiful views of the rounded mountains in the surrounding area.
Panorama of Lake Solbjørn (Solbjørnvatnet)

This is an easy hike that will give you a magnificent view of Lake Solbjørn and its cirque of steep mountains. Looking back, you will see other views of the fjord, small hamlets, the coast of mainland Norway in the distance and all the peaks that make the Lofoten Islands famous!
Ascent of Mount Blaheia

This hike on the Lofoten Islands in Norway is little known and you will probably be alone along the entire route. The arrival at the summit of Blaheia offers a magnificent 360° panorama of the mountains and fjords.
