Hillesøya
An easy hike to discover Sommaroy Island and its surroundings.
Blåisvatnet Lake
Beautiful route to a lake at the foot of the mountains.
The route is marked with red stones, which are not always visible when there is snow.
Preikestolen
One of Norway's most famous hikes is the climb up Preikestolen (or Pulpit Rock) above the Lysefjord. It is moderately difficult, so I recommend doing this hike in summer. It is very touristy but definitely worth it. Preikestolen is a must-see if you are in the Stavanger area. The cliff rises 604 metres above the fjord. The flat summit makes it a beautiful viewpoint.
Tour of Ågvatnet from Å i Lofoten
Ågvatnet is a pretty lake surrounded by mountains just above Å, a small fishing village at the end of the Lofoten archipelago. This hike goes around it on a tricky trail with mud, rocks, dense forest and a few handrails. You will finish this challenging hike by crossing the charming village of Å with its red wooden houses on stilts, a picture-postcard image of the Lofoten Islands!
Reinebringen
An iconic hike in the Lofoten Islands, Reinebringen is very popular, but the view from the top of Reinefjorden and its fishing villages connected by bridges is well worth the effort.
The ascent is via a staircase with 1978 steps built by Nepalese sherpas.
Skageflå to Geiranger
This is a spectacular hike on the right bank of the Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From the shore, you will climb to an altitude of 580 m before returning to Geiranger via the mountain. All along the way, you can admire the fjord and its mountains with their snow-capped peaks.
Circular around Lake Stor-Kongsvatnet, Kabelvåg, Austvågøya in Lofoten
A beautiful hike of about 10 km with little elevation gain but lots of nature around Lake Stor-Kongsvatnet in Kabelvåg in Lofoten. Most of the hike is on gravel and dirt paths, and the final third is on wooden walkways at grass level to protect the natural environment. It is possible and pleasant to swim in the lake.

An easy and enjoyable hike along the shores of Lakes Sørvågvatnet, Stuvdalsvatnet and Tridalsvatnet from the village of Sørvågen. Beautiful views of the lakes, mountains reflected in their waters, and torrents without having to climb too much.
Circular Brurstolen, Ballstad, Vestvågøya, Lofoten
A slightly demanding circular walk starting from Ballstad. The first part is along the water's edge on a stony path that winds its way up and down between the rocks, then there is a climb of over 200 m at a 15° gradient to reach the plateau and finally a descent via a staircase of 384 slabs, built by Nepalese sherpas. But what views of the surrounding islands from the coastal path and especially from the summit plateau!
Nordfjell circular
Circular to the top of Nordfjell to enjoy a beautiful view of the fjord and the surrounding area.
The path is well marked.
This is a fairly steep hike and can be a little technical in places.
As for the descent, the return trip can be quite slippery and steep.

A short, easy walk through the wild marshes of Fokstumyra. It offers opportunities for bird watching and beautiful views of Mount Snohetta. It is best to start at the observation tower to learn about the species that can be seen. (1) Choose the direction of the route. (2) Observation tower with information panels. (3) Observation point over the marsh.
Naeroyfjorden
This hike overlooks the Naeroyfjord and offers beautiful views of the fjord, a pretty waterfall and the possibility of reaching a lake. The elevation gain is significant, with the trail climbing steeply over rocky terrain.
The four waterfalls of Kinsarvik
Hike completed in August. The Kinsarvik waterfalls are located in the Husedalen valley. This hike takes in four waterfalls: Tveitafossen, Nyastølsfossen, Nykkjesøyfossen and the fourth waterfall, Søtefossen, considered to be the most beautiful waterfall in the valley. Parking is available at the last car park. No problems finding a space at 8.30am. Toilets available. The climb up to the first waterfall is not particularly difficult and can be done with the family. The return journey can be made from the third waterfall via a more rolling forest path offering other beautiful views of the waterfalls.
Troll Trail
A short walk, great for doing with children, in a pretty, green forest where you can discover trolls and other legends. Beautiful view of Lee Fjord.

This short, challenging hike will take you to Storsteinen, the mountain that overlooks the island city of Tromsø. The climb is via the Sherpatrappa, a staircase with 1,203 steps built by sherpas, similar to others found elsewhere in Norway. Best done in good weather early in the morning for breathtaking views of Tromsø and the Kvaløya mountains in the background, or to admire the midnight sun in summer!
Lake Aspevatnet
Aspevatnet is a pretty little lake with stunning turquoise water in a beautiful setting at the foot of the Lyngen Alps. Worth a visit if you don't have time to see Blåisvatnet, or as an extra. Please note that parking is paid.

An easy hike that takes you to a beautiful glacier at an altitude of only 450 metres! After a slightly tricky climb through the forest, especially along the river, you can enjoy a wide, pleasant glacial valley before a final steep climb that leads to the glacial lake at the foot of Steindalsbreen.
Tjelbergtinden from Kabelvåg
Starting from Kabelvåg Church, nicknamed the "Lofoten Cathedral", this route will take you to the summit of Tjelbergtinden for a magnificent view of Svolvaer, Kabelvåg and the surrounding peaks of Vestvagøya.
The ascent, although steep, does not present any major difficulties. However, caution is advised on the descent, which can be very tricky in wet weather (to be avoided).
A short round trip (with an easy descent equipped with a chain) to a secondary peak of this mountain will offer you a bird's eye view of Kabelvåg.

Kjerag and Kjeragbolten
This hike will take you to the summit of Kjerag, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Lysefjord. You will also pass Kjeragbolten, a rock suspended 984 metres above the void. The rock was trapped by a glacier in 50,000 BC.
Instead of going back the same way, this hike climbs to the top of Kjerag and then descends on the other side, forming a loop that offers beautiful views of the valley and passes near a lake before rejoining the outward route.
There are no particular complications except for the start of the climb, which is on a smooth rock, but ropes are there to help. After that, steps have been carved by Nepalese sherpas for the rest of the climb. There are no difficulties with orientation, just follow the path.
The three peaks of Mefjorden: Hesten, Segla, Barden
