Park in the Å car park, just after the tunnel, at the very end of the road that crosses the entire Lofoten archipelago.
(S/E) From the car park, about halfway up, take the wooden walkway that climbs to the right at a small wooden sign indicating Ågdalen. The path then descends towards the lake with several possible passages in fairly muddy and wet areas.
The path then becomes a little more complicated with some technical sections and a few handrails that require some easy climbing. Continue along the lake until you reach a footbridge at a small peninsula jutting out into the lake.
(1) Continue to the right after the footbridge to bypass a marshy area. Then return to the lake and follow it very closely on rocks where the trail is difficult to find. Continue in the same direction through the woods. A short climb up a peninsula follows. Be careful on the descent that follows, as it can be very muddy and slippery. After that, the path is less complicated and quickly rejoins the road after a short climb.
(2) Turn right and then immediately left towards the Torrfisk museum. In the car park, turn right between the rorbuer (fishermen's huts) to cross the stream from the lake via a small walkway on stilts. Pass the Norsk Fiskevaersmuseum on the main street, then turn right once and then again onto a small footpath that will take you to the car park where you started. (S/E)
