Park in the paid car park (!) at the Kabelvåg school complex (Kabelvåg skole).
(S/E) Go up the steps and walk past the school and sports facilities.
(1) Take the path on the left at the first crossroads. At the woods, turn left onto the path that leads into the woods, which is less muddy, and arriveat the edge of the first small lake, Madsvatne , where you can take a break at the beautiful traditional Norwegian shelter (architecture, barbecue).
(2) Continue along the path to pass between two bodies of water before reaching Lake Stor-Kongsvatnet.
(3) Start the tour clockwise, following the edge of the lake.
(4) Be careful not to take the path on the left, which leads to a shooting range. In fact, it is forbidden to stray from the path on the left along this point of the lake. After passing the electrical buildings, you can take a break for a swim on a small natural point.
(5) Retrace your steps and continue along the path, which becomes a series of footbridges stretching for several kilometres, almost to the next buildings.
(6) Continue along the road for about 200 metres.
(7) Take the first path on the right, cross a marshy area and arrive at a fork.
(8) Take the path on the left, which takes you away from the main lake and towards a second lake.
(9 ) Walk along the right-hand side. Climb the hill (the path is muddy at the top, even in dry weather) and then descend.
(10) At the T-junction, take the tarmac path on the right which leads to the school.
(11) Continue straight ahead, passing under the school complex to reach the car park (S/E).
