Kirkeporten in Skarsvag

You can park along the small road or at the harbour.

(S/E) Start at the campsite entrance. Head north-west.

(1) Enjoy the view of Lake Storvanet. Turn slightly to the right, heading north.

(2) Below, you can admire the Kirkeporten arch. Take the path leading down towards the sea to pass under the arch. At the exit of the arch, head east following the path.

(3) Turn left onto Storevannsveien. At the end, turn right and then left until you reach the small harbour.

(4) Take the road south along the harbour, then turn right at the end. After 50 metres, turn right again onto Skutnesveien. At the intersection, turn left onto FV171 and continue straight ahead to the campsite (S/E).

This hike is short, but bring walking shoes as the rocks can be slippery, and warm or even very warm clothing in case of wind.
You can start from Skarsvag harbour.

Beautiful view of the arch and the North Cape Horn. The port is listed as the northernmost port in the world. Along the route, you are likely to see reindeer up close.
