Description of the walk

In Sørvågen, park in the public car park by the library.

(S/E) Take the path between the library and the hotels to reach the lake shore and the footbridge. Go around the lake on the left and reach a hairpin bend on the left.

(1) Continue on the path opposite, arrive at a track and follow it to the right until you reach a three-way junction.

(2) Take the path opposite and pass close to the house. Continue along the path, cross the Stuvdalselva bridge, then take the path on the right that climbs into the woods to two buildings and their pond.

(3) Pass between them and continue climbing to reach the second lake and its idyllic view.

(4) Go around the boathouse, then follow the lake on your left.

(5) At the fork, continue left along the shore. After going around Badevika Cove, you will come to a fork.

(6) Ignore the path that climbs to the right, but continue along the lake and take the second climb along the edge of the small stream until you reach the second plateau and the tip of the third Lake Tridalsvatnet, the summit of the hike.

(7) Descend and follow Lake Stuvdalselva again along the same path you took on the way up until you reach the fork before the boat shelter.

(5) Keep left and continue to the next fork. Turn right and return to the route you took before the stream.

(4) Turn left to follow the stream on its left bank downhill to a wider path. Enjoy the view of the torrential streams visible from this side. Turn left and head towards the edge of Lake Sørvågvatnet.

(8) At the hamlet, turn right onto the road between the houses. Join and take the main E10 road on the right and, a hundred metres further on, take a path on the right.

(9) Take this path and walk along the lake until you reach the public car park at the library (S/E).
