Circular starting from Haukland, going around the Mannen and Veggen peaks via the old Uttakliev road, then returning via the Lomtjønna Pass above the tunnel. Pleasant trail along the coast connecting one beach to another.

Description of the walk

Park in the large car park at Haukland.

(S/E) Take the old road to the left of the tunnel, pass the barrier and follow this road along the coast to Uttakliev. When you reach Uttakliev Beach, continue until you reach the tarmac road.

(1) Turn right and take the road on the left before the tunnel.

(2) Take this road and climb up to the pass.

(3) Continue along the flat path, pass by the small Lomtjønna Lake, then begin the descent until you reach a cycle path.

(4) Continue to the right and reach the Haukland car park (S/E).

The circular can also be completed by going through the tunnel from the Uttakliev car park.

A slightly demanding circular walk starting from Ballstad. The first part is along the water's edge on a stony path that winds its way up and down between the rocks, then there is a climb of over 200 m at a 15° gradient to reach the plateau and finally a descent via a staircase of 384 slabs, built by Nepalese sherpas. But what views of the surrounding islands from the coastal path and especially from the summit plateau!
