(S/E) From the stables, climb the road that follows the GR®36 and GR® du Pays Hautes Terres d'Oc trails.
(1) Leave the road and follow the GR®36 to the right, before turning right onto the Route de Oms. Take the second left, then immediately turn right to reach a fork.
(2) Turn left to follow the GR®36 path until you reach a fork.
(3) Leave the GR®36, turn right and you will come to a forest track.
(4) Turn right and you will reach a road.
(5) Cross it and take another path opposite. Then follow the road again.
(6) Cross the D622, which is quite busy: be careful and cross quickly. At the crossroads, continue to the left, then arrive at a fork in Guior Haut.
(7) Turn left to cross the village of Guior Haut. Continue straight ahead. Pass the pond and you will reach a fork.
(8) Leave the road and take the path on the left into the forest. Part of the path does not appear on maps. Continue along the path not marked on maps. At the road, turn left towards Gabaude.
(9) Cross the hamlet on the right, on the GR®36. At the road, turn right, then left, before turning right onto the track. Pass two forks and arrive at a third.
(10) Continue on the GRP®, to the left, to reach the departmental road.
(11) Go up the road, on the path on the other side, to have a better view for crossing. Walk along Lac du Merle.
(12) At the end, go up the lake dyke.
(13) After the dyke, cross the stream to the right of the small bridge (difficult to cross on horseback). At the end, turn right towards the main road.
(14) Cross the road, turn right, then turn left onto the GR®36. Continue straight ahead on the track at the place called "Le Merle". Cross the Las Lagues stream to reach a fork at Las Lagues Hautes.
(15) Leave the GR®36 and continue left on the PR®. After the power lines, turn left and you will reach La Safranière.
(16) Stay on the road at La Safranière, keeping right twice, to arrive at the picnic area for lunch, where you can tie your horses to trees or tie bars.
(17) Turn right onto the GRP®.
(18) Leave the GRP® and continue on the road on the right.
(19) When you reach Crémaussel, turn left in the Tour des Rochers car park and continue to the crossroads.
(20) You can turn left or right on the trail. To follow the directions in this guide, turn right.
(21) When you reach the rocks and the signs describing them, continue along the path to Roc de l'Oie.
(22) Turn left to reach the crossroads from the outward journey.
(20) Keep going straight ahead, in the opposite direction to the outward journey, until you reach the road.
(19) Cross the road and the car park to return to the GR®36. Stay on the same path until you reach the fork after the power lines.
(23) Leave the GR®36 via a small path on the left. Then turn right three times, before continuing straight ahead twice, then left, to reach a small, recently built bridge.
(24) Cross the bridge. Follow the road until you reach a crossroads.
(25) Leave the road and take a path on the left. Go back up the road.
(26) Leave the road and take a path on the right. Keep right on the road.
(27) Leave the road and take a forest track on the left. Continue straight ahead, then turn right to reach a cross.
(28) Turn right before reaching a Y-junction.
(29) Leave the road and turn right until you reach another fork.
(30) Follow the PR® opposite to reach another road.
(31) Cross the road to continue on the PR® and reach Guior Haut.
(32) Go straight through the village, then turn right and immediately left. You will reach the D622 again: take care when crossing.
(7) Return to the stables by the same route you took on the way there (S/E).
