Vineuil-Saint-Firmin walks

Chantilly is the largest racehorse training centre in Europe. The forest is criss-crossed by numerous galloping tracks that are usable all year round thanks to the quality of the sand. During this walk, you can appreciate the importance of this activity in the forest itself and in the plain bordering its northern edge. Beautiful views of the château, the Grandes Écuries and the Canal Saint-Jean add to the charm of the circuit.

A circular walk starting from the Château de la Reine Blanche and the Étangs de Comelles in the Chantilly Forest, passing through Mongresin (Orry-la-Ville) and the barn of the former Comelle Abbey . The Château de la Reine Blanche and the Étangs de Comelles are among the most remarkable sites in the Chantilly Forest.

The Carnelle National Forest is a forest located on a hill 25 km north of Paris. Its summit (altitude 210 m) is one of the highest points in the Val d'Oise. The variety of its landscapes makes it one of the most pleasant sites in the region. This hike follows part of the northern flank of the forest, allowing you to discover some interesting features of the forest and its surroundings.

This loop, starting from Villers-Saint-Frambourg, takes place in the Forêt d'Halatte. The paved forest roads follow the dirt tracks. We climb Mont Pagnotte via the south face. After a long descent, we go around the mountain to climb it again, but this time via the north face. The ascent is less difficult as it follows a beautiful path. After a long descent, we return to our starting point.

A hike in a forest in Picardy where the pines loom large. There are also beautiful sites covered in heather and sandstone blocks. The soil, often sandy, allows for hiking in winter without difficulty.

This hike is mainly in the forest, favouring trails in hilly terrain. The circuit passes through large pine forests with undergrowth of heather and ferns providing a beautiful variety of colours. The ground is often very sandy, making it easy to hike in winter.

On continue en forêt puis à travers champs, pas loin de l'Oise, pour une visite à l'ancienne Abbaye de Royaumont. On termine entre bois, prés, champs et zones résidentielles.

From Nerville-la-Forêt, take a short hike in the Forêt de l'Isles Adam with visits to three villages and three churches. This hike is popular in summer when it is hot thanks to the cool shade of the trees in this forest, and also in winter as the ground is not too muddy.

Hike in the Isle-Adam National Forest, passing through areas overlooking the Stors Marsh Nature Reserve and the large Abbaye du Val Park with its quarries, caves and Château des Forgets. The GPX track may be useful.

A hike starting from Écouen, passing through Piscop and skirting Sarcelles Saint-Brice and Villiers-le-Bel, between the two forts of Écouen and Domont, the Écouen Regional Forest and the Montmorency State Forest, two churches, castles, urban areas, a little farmland and deciduous plantations.

Starting from the Route du Faîte, this is a very hilly hike in the Montmorency Forest, passing by the Château de la Chasse.

A walk in the larger Val d'Oise forest, located only 20 kilometres north of Paris. Chestnut trees are plentiful in this hilly area with ponds and historical sites. A walk to the southwest border will let you discover some interesting features of the local heritage.
