Departure from Viarmes station (Transilien line H).
(S) Leaving Viarmes station, head straight ahead and cross the car park to go down the stairs and reach Rue Pasteur.
(1) Continue straight ahead along Rue de la Gare.
(2) At the three-way junction, keep left, still on Rue de la Gare.
(3) At the end, turn right onto Rue de Paris and walk past the Church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul. At the tourist office, turn right onto Rue de la Garenne. Walk along the angle parking and continue straight ahead.
(4) At no. 22, take a path on the right that goes around the Résidence du Parc and leads to a road.
(5) Take Rue du Docteur Schweitzer on the right for a few metres, then take a path on the left, Sentier de la Mastree, for a few metres as well, then turn right and you will come to Rue de la République.
(6) Turn right, cross the Ru de Freval and turn left, cross the Ru du Ponceau, then turn left onto Sentier du Freval, following the stream. This road becomes a path that leads into the fields and passes by the Viarmes cemetery.
(7) Turn left onto the D922 and immediately right onto Route des Princes with the GR®655, pass in front of Camping les Princes, then turn left and walk along the woods, with the Grand Vivier pond and Royaumont Abbey on your left.
(8) At the entrance to the abbey, take Allée de la Reine Hortense on the right and enter the Bois de Bonnet to reach the village of Baillon.
(9) Cross the village, then turn right onto Rue de Santiago Soulas to reach Baillon cemetery.
(10) Turn left and enter the woods. At a left-hand bend, continue straight ahead. Enter the woods via a footpath, first turn left then right, and follow the Nouvelle Thève stream along the GR®655.
(11) Leave the path a little further on via Route du Blanc Champ and continue to the large crossroads.
(12) Turn right onto Route du Royaumont, and at the next large crossroads, turn left, south-west, onto Chemin de Layon à Anthaumes. This will take you to a road, Route de Baillon.
(13) Follow it to the right, leave it a little further on and continue straight ahead.
(14) Turn left towards Moulin de Giez and the Viarmes Equestrian Centre. Go around it on the left and follow the discovery trail that passes between woods and fields.
(15) When you reach Moulin de Bertinval, turn right onto Route de Baillon and leave the mill on your left.
(16) At the equestrian centre, turn right onto Chemin du Bois de la Noue, pass in front of the Bois de la Noue Equestrian Sports Association, continue along the same path and you will come to a road.
(17) Continue straight ahead on this road, Chemin du Poirier aux Chats, and enter Luzarches to reach the station (E).
