From the Bois du Tremblay to the Forêt de Coye

A lovely walk, from station to station, starting in Luzarches and crossing the Bois du Tremblay along the GR®655. You’ll come across the Luzarches Mill and the Brassay Bridge. The route passes through the Coye Forest, past the Pain de Sucre and the Fontaine aux Verres. It’s a fairly shaded route, which is pleasant in summer when it’s very hot.

The walk starts at Luzarches station; coming from Paris, take Train H from Gare du Nord towards Luzarches.

(S) Cross the station car park and take Rue Érik Satie, opposite.

(1) At the end of this street, turn right onto Rue du Pontcel. Pass Place du Marché, then Luzarches Town Hall.

(2) Turn right onto Rue Saint-Cosme, a cobbled road that climbs uphill. Pass under the Porte Saint-Cosme and continue uphill to the last houses.

(3) Take the path, Allée de la Croix Saint-Cosme, on the left (wooden gate), which leads into the woodland, then follow the Chemin des Martyrs.

(4) Turn left onto the road, Chemin des Carrières de Saint-Cosme, between the houses and the woodland.

(5) Turn right onto Rue Rocquemont and follow it for 100 metres, passing the pond. Then, at a gate, take a path on the left that runs alongside the woodland. Pass by some water sources.

(7) At the crossroads, head left onto a PR® path that leads into the fields.

(8) Turn left at the fork and carry on straight ahead. Cross the bridge over the D922 and continue straight ahead along the PR® through the fields, then into the woodland.

(9) Follow Rue du Vieux Chemin de Paris to the left, then left again onto Rue Charles de Gaulle, and walk alongside a low wall on the right.

(10) After the low wall, take Rue des Gantiers on the right, cross Rue des Selliers, and carry on straight ahead.

(11) At the three-way junction, turn left, staying on Rue des Gantiers, then turn right onto Rue Saint Damien. At the roundabout, carry on straight ahead until you reach the second roundabout.

(12) Then turn left onto Chemin de la Paroisse, heading towards Chaumontels and Royaumont, for about 200 metres, then turn right onto a path through the fields.

(13) You’ll come to a road; follow it to the left. Cross the River Ysieux, then turn left and cross the branch of the Ysieux.

(14) Continue to the right (for 600 m), between woodland and fields, and enter the woodland.

(15) Turn left, into the woods, onto Rue de la Côte d’Orléans. Ignore the paths branching off to the right.

(16) At the Poteau des Brûlis, turn right onto Route de Brûlis, continuing to the Chaumontel crossroads.
