The starting point is the Royaumont Abbey car park.
You can get there by car or public transport (bus line 14 from Viarmes station).

(S/E) Leave the car park by turning left and, after about 50 metres, take the first path on the left marked with bothGR® (red and white) andPR® (yellow) signs. Follow this path to the entrance to Baillon, where it joins Rue des Marais.
(1) Turn right onto this street. When you reach the bridge over the canal, turn right to cross it and continue along Rue du Prieuré. At the second crossroads, turn left onto Rue du Château and, at the end of this street, turn right onto Rue Santiago Soulas. A few metres further on, turn left onto the path that runs alongside a large boundary wall.
(2) Follow this wall for about 1000 metres.
(3) At the corner of the wall, do not follow the marked path that turns left, but turn right to pass between forest plots 441 and 442.
At the Blue Cross post, continue straight on the Chaussée du Roi road until it joins a tarmac road, which you follow for about 200 metres before turning right onto a path where you will find aPR® (yellow) signpost
(4). The path passes close to a gas installation and runs alongside meadows to Moulin de Giez, where there is an equestrian centre.
(5) Turn left onto the road and follow the PR® markings. Just after a right-hand bend, take the path on the left and continue: there is a passageway under the D922 departmental road. The path leads to Rue de Giez in the village of Seugy. This street becomes Rue de la Fontaine a little further on (you will seeGR® markings), then continues along a path that crosses a bridge over a railway line.
(6) At the crossroads, turn right onto Chemin de Champlateau, which passes under the railway line and enters Viarmes.
At Chemin de la Justice, turn left and go uphill.
(7) You will pass in front of Viarmes station and then descend to a roundabout, which you cross to take the marked path that leads to Rue de Verdun, which in turn leads to Avenue Georges Clémenceau (D909Z).
(8) At No. 24, turn left into the pedestrian passageway that leads to Ruelle à l'Auge. Continue to Rue de Saint-Martin-du-Tertre, where you turn left. Walk along the school fence via Rue de la Fontaine d'Amour to the school car park.
(9) Turn left into the sunken lane that goes uphill. Cross the Rond de Chantilly.
(10) Descend the marked path to the Seigneurie crossroads. Follow Ruelle du Crocq. TheGR® andPR® markings turn left onto a small path between two properties, but do not follow them. Instead, continue straight ahead to the next crossroads, where you take Rue du Cat Rouge on your left and follow it to the Château de la Reine Blanche.
(11). Turn right onto Rue des Auges. At the next crossroads, you will find a pretty wash house with a fountain.
(12) Cross the crossroads and turn into Rue Delchet, then, at the end of this street, turn left onto Grande Rue and follow it until you reach Rue de la Gueule à Vaches, where you turn right.
As you approach the D922 road, turn left onto the marked path that runs alongside it.
(13) A little further on, pass under the D922 and continue to a roundabout.
(14) Turn right and cross a large cultivated area. The path approaches the Oise river.
(15). You will see water catchments dotted here and there. Continue to a reservoir.
(16) Turn right and then, 200 metres further on, turn left to join the D909 departmental road, at the corner of the Royaumont Abbey estate.
(17) Cross the D909 (there are no more markings from this point onwards) and walk along the boundary wall to the abbey car park (S/E).
