The hike starts on Avenue du Bouteiller in the town of Chantilly (Oise).
It is a cul-de-sac that ends near the Canal Saint-Jean. There are always spaces available.
(S/E) Head towards the canal and turn left to walk along it.
GR® markings (red and white)
(1) You are now on aGR® marked trail. At the end of the canal, turn right and continue. The street curves slightly to the right, climbs and runs alongside sports fields.
(2) At the junction with the D44, cross over and continue along the forest track in front of you.
At the Coharde crossroads, turn left and walk alongside plots 73, 71, 65 and 59.
No markings
(3) At the northern corner of plot 59, theGR® turns left.
Leave theGR® and turn right onto the path that runs between plots 54 and 58. When you reach plot 53, turn right onto the Route de la Coharde between plots 56 and 57.
At the junction with Route du Fouette, turn left between plots 63 and 69. At the next crossroads, turn diagonally left and continue for about 500 metres to reach Route des Marchands between plots 39 and 43.
At the Marchands crossroads, turn left onto Route des Carrières between plots 39 and 42, then, after about 300 metres, turn right onto Route Papillon to follow plot 38.
At the edge of the woods (corner of plot 36), turn right onto Route du Connétable to cross plots 36, 37, 41, 45, 46 and 49 and arrive at the Aumale crossroads, which is a large roundabout serving the entrance to the Domaine de Chantilly golf hotel.
(4) Turn left and continue straight on along Allée de Vineuil, which runs parallel to the D606 at the beginning, until you reach the Table d'Apremont crossroads.
(5) Turn right onto Allée de Saint-Firmin, which runs alongside the golf course. Continue to the end of the golf course.
(6) At the crossroads, you will see a yellow concrete slab on the ground next to a yellow post indicating the presence of a high-pressure gas pipe. Turn right to follow the track built on the platform of an old railway line.
Continue along this platform, which describes a wide loop to the right along the southern edge of the golf course and ends at Avenue de Verdun (D606) in Vineuil-Saint-Firmin.
Turn left before the road, into the lane that runs alongside Avenue de Verdun, and continue to the viewpoint, where you can admire the park and château of Chantilly
(7). Retrace your steps to Rue de la République and turn left. This road continues with a staircase leading down to Rue de Saint-Leu, which you follow to Allée de la Ménagerie.
(8) Turn left (at the corner, you will pass the entrance to Chantilly Golf Club).
Continue straight ahead and, after crossing the roundabout, take the D924 where you will find theGR® at the second bridge.

(9) Turn right onto the path that runs alongside the Canal Saint-Jean to reach Avenue du Bouteiller, where you will find the car park (S/E).
