Departure
The hike starts at the car park in the hamlet of Mongrésin, in the commune of Orry-la-Ville (Oise). This hamlet is located on the D924a south of Chantilly.
(S/E) Head towards Chantilly and turn left onto Route Manon at the corner of the "Relais d'Aumale" hotel and restaurant. Continue until you reach Rue du Moulin, then turn left.
(1) You will pass the Moulin d'Orry on the Thève river and arrive 800 metres further on at the corner of the cemetery.
(2) Turn left onto the track running alongside the equestrian centre. It leads to a crossroads where you will find a wash house (the Fontaine d'Orry) and a water treatment plant.
(3) Cross the small road and continue left along the track towards the woods. The track crosses the D924a after about 800 metres. Continue straight ahead to reach the road from Mongrésin to Pontarmé near a stream called La Bâtarde.
(4) Turn right to reach the entrance to Pontarmé, where you turn left to go around the village.
Walk past a farm and an equestrian centre, then turn left to cross the Thève river on a bridge near the castle.
(5) Continue around the castle to cross the D1017. Turn left and walk to the calvary.
(6) Turn right to pass between the calvary and the building, then, after about 15 metres, turn left onto the path heading north-east. It gradually curves to the right and, after 600 metres, you will reach a crossroads where you turn onto the third path on the left.
(7) This path runs alongside forest plot 236 until it crosses a track that passes between the abutments of a ruined bridge
(8) Turn right, pass between the abutments and continue left for 3 km along this straight track, passing successively alongside plots 207, 205, 183, 182, 163, 127, 117, 96, 83 and 82.
Please note that the track turns left at a 90° angle a few dozen metres after plot 82. After the bend, a few hundred metres further on, turn right onto a track that ends at a very large roundabout on the D1017 at the entrance to Senlis.
(9) Go around the roundabout on the right to use the pedestrian crossings. Cross the D1017 and take Avenue de Reims, which runs between the school and the sports fields.
In front of the entrance to the equestrian centre, turn right onto the path leading into the woods. This path runs alongside the school fence. A fitness trail has been set up a little further on, behind a gymnasium. You will come to a track. Continue westwards, turn left and you will come to a crossroads at the corner of a track reserved for training racehorses.
(10) Continue for about 100 metres along the path to the left of the track fence. Then turn onto the path that leads diagonally into the forest. It ends at a wire fence protecting a plot of land undergoing regeneration at the corner of plot 86.
(11) Turn slightly to the right to walk along plot 86 to the next corner of the fence. There you will find a stone marker delimiting former plots. It bears the number 23 on one side and 24 on the other.
(12) Turn left and a few metres further on, turn right into the path which, 500 metres further on, crosses a wide forest road.
(13) Turn right onto this road. You will pass plots 133 and 103 before reaching, after a good kilometre, a bridle path where threeGR® trails (11, 12 and 655) pass.
(14) Turn left onto theGR®655towards Coye-la-Forêt. After 400 metres, turn left onto the path running alongside plot 147. You will pass between plots 152 and 153, then between plots 170 and 171 before reaching a crossroads at the junction of plots 171, 186 and 187.
(15) Turn left onto the path separating plots 186 and 187. After 500 metres, turn right between plots 211 and 219. Walk another 500 metres to reach the Vignettes crossroads with its signpost in the centre.
(16) Take the Vignette road towards the Fut Madame crossroads. After 500 metres, you will reach the Vignette forest house.

(17) Turn right and walk along the fence wall of the forest house. At the next crossroads, turn left and continue to the edge of the forest, where you turn right onto the path that takes you back to the D924a, at the entrance to Mongrésin. Cross the road and you will find the car park on your left (S/E).
