A beautiful route, a change of scenery; in autumn, walking sticks can be useful on descents when there are leaves and/or mud.
It's a great idea to walk along Coyes-la-Forêt via the forest path; keep an eye out for certain markings.

A hilly and varied route through the Coye forest with a stop to taste galettes at the foot of the Reine Blanche + a circular tour of the Commelle ponds before returning to Luzarches station
PS: bring good walking shoes to tackle a few wet ruts in autumn.

One of my favourite hikes! I did it last year, almost exactly on the same date, but I apparently neglected to leave a review. Like last year, there was fog in the early morning, which quickly lifted. It's very beautiful at this time of year, with the autumn leaves (still a little green last weekend, but more golden brown last year) and their reflection next to that of the castle in the pond. And yet I tell myself that one day I'll have to do this walk in the spring, to see the flowering undergrowth mentioned on the botanical trail signs on the way back. The Sylvie oak tree is very beautiful.

I recommend taking a short detour, preferably on the way back, at point 20, and don't miss the entrance to the Luzarches botanical garden to walk through it, as it is charming.

I wonder if the mileage isn't a little overestimated: my phone, which admittedly can underestimate, told me that I had covered more like 19km, and I completed the route in less than 6 hours without particularly rushing (I arrived in Luzarches at 9:52 a.m. and left on the 4:06 p.m. train to Paris).

A lovely walk to get back into shape, but unfortunately in very grey weather. No major difficulties. However, the forest paths are a bit monotonous.

A pleasant hike with beautiful heritage sites in Luzarches, forests and fields along paths with a few climbs and one fairly steep descent, all on a beautiful autumn day.
Three mistakes along the route
- at point 15, we took the path opposite the Ménagerie lane and turned into the forest to find the Ecouteurs signpost. A van was blocking the path we should have taken.
- At point 5, we passed in front of the farm and continued along the road to find the castle a little further on.
- At point 20, we came out in a housing estate and had to ask for directions.
We were caught out by nightfall (the clocks had just changed) and as we climbed towards the farm it began to get dark, which didn't help with navigation.
There were a few families out walking in the forest near Coye (good weather and school holidays) and by the Loge pond, but no one else on the paths.
There is an error in the description: at the Verrerie crossroads, you turn at plots 501 and 502; plot 542 is at the Chaumontel crossroads.
