Précy-sur-Oise walks

Most of the hike takes place on flat ground and in woodland, with a long stretch along the edge of lakes. It offers beautiful views of the Picardy countryside and the Oise valley. Passing through Précy-sur-Oise, Blaincourt-lès-Précy, Saint-Leu-d'Esserent and Villers-sous-Saint-Leu, you can discover some of the region's heritage gems.

The hike starts at Royaumont Abbey and takes you through a mainly rural area, dominated by forests and farms, with numerous horse breeding establishments. The hilly landscape offers beautiful views of the Carnelle forest and the Oise valley. Passing through several villages gives you a glimpse of their rich heritage.

Loop starting from Baillon (municipality of Asnières sur Oise), near Royaumont Abbey along the Nouvelle Thève through the Bois de Baillon.

Chantilly is the largest racehorse training centre in Europe. The forest is criss-crossed by numerous galloping tracks that are usable all year round thanks to the quality of the sand. During this walk, you can appreciate the importance of this activity in the forest itself and in the plain bordering its northern edge. Beautiful views of the château, the Grandes Écuries and the Canal Saint-Jean add to the charm of the circuit.

A beautiful hike with wooded areas, plains, quarries where stones were extracted for the construction of Notre-Dame de Paris, many ponds, two wash houses, two chapels, the church of Saint-Vaast, the Rivière le Théroin (a tributary of the Oise), and the Flandre stream.

The Carnelle National Forest is a forest located on a hill 25 km north of Paris. Its summit (altitude 210 m) is one of the highest points in the Val d'Oise. The variety of its landscapes makes it one of the most pleasant sites in the region. This hike follows part of the northern flank of the forest, allowing you to discover some interesting features of the forest and its surroundings.

A circular walk starting from the Château de la Reine Blanche and the Étangs de Comelles in the Chantilly Forest, passing through Mongresin (Orry-la-Ville) and the barn of the former Comelle Abbey . The Château de la Reine Blanche and the Étangs de Comelles are among the most remarkable sites in the Chantilly Forest.

A 10-kilometre loop to be done on foot starting from Parc Chantemesse in Chambly. There are no major difficulties and the section along the river is very pleasant.

A very varied walk north-east of Luzarches: peaceful valleys, beautiful trees in the Forest of Coye and the remains of the former Abbey of Hérivaux, where B. Constant lived (after largely destroying it...) The walk mainly follows marked paths (PR® at the start, thenGR®1andGR® 655). Very peaceful despite the proximity of Paris.

On continue en forêt puis à travers champs, pas loin de l'Oise, pour une visite à l'ancienne Abbaye de Royaumont. On termine entre bois, prés, champs et zones résidentielles.

A very pleasant hike in a forest area consisting mainly of coppice woodland, which is ideal for game. Encounters with large animals such as wild boar, roe deer, does and stags are therefore quite frequent. Don't hesitate to take your camera with you.

From Château de la Borne Blanche to Abbaye d'Hérivaux, between ponds and forest.

A fairly easy hike from Aumont-en-Halatte with a slight elevation gain, in the Halatte National Forest, skirting the village of Fleurines. Two beautiful viewpoints along the route, best enjoyed in summer when the weather is warm.

Hike in the Isle-Adam National Forest, passing through areas overlooking the Stors Marsh Nature Reserve and the large Abbaye du Val Park with its quarries, caves and Château des Forgets. The GPX track may be useful.
