Departure from Boran-sur-Oise station.
- Access by train: Transilien line H, between Paris-Nord and Creil. Please note that fares outside the Ile-de-France region apply (the Navigo Pass is no longer valid).
- Access by car: park in the station car park.
(S/E) Head towards the level crossing and turn right onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle (D924). Take the metal bridge over the Oise (pedestrian crossing on the right-hand side).
(1) After the bridge, turn left, ignore a road on the left and stay on the D924. At the Abbaye roundabout, turn right onto the D118 and continue for about 200 metres.
(2) Turn left onto Grande Avenue. Continue straight ahead, passing through the Rond-Point des Moines and Rond-Point d'Aumale roundabouts.
(3) At the Rond Point du Grand Condé roundabout, take thesecond right onto Neuvième Avenue. Continue straight ahead, heading south. Cross the D118, pass through a wooden barrier and continue south on the Chaussée de Baillon (a tarmac road crossing the marshes). At the end of the road, cross the small bridge over the Thève.
(4) After the first houses in Baillon, take thefirst path on the right (Sentier des Marais). When you reach a tarmac road, take the path to the lock opposite (yellow and white/red markings). Further on, ignore a path on the right and continue straight ahead along Allée de la Reine Hortense. At the end of the path, go through a wooden gate and you will come to a tarmac road (on the right is the main entrance to Royaumont Abbey).
(5) Follow the road to the left (white/red markings) and take the small paved bridge over the Ysieux. At the end of the bridge, cross the road and follow it to the right to walk along the wall of the Abbey grounds. Pass the "Le Grand Vivier" pond on your left.
(6) Cross the road again at the pedestrian crossing and take the path on the right. Continue along the wall (beautiful views of the abbey). At the end, cross the D909 and continue opposite on a gravel path between two hedges (yellow markings).
(7) After about 100 metres, turn left following the yellow markings. Walk along the edge of the woods and then between the fields.
(8) At the crossroads, turn right (yellow L2 markings). Ignore a path on the left (reservoir) and continue straight ahead on the wide path. Pass under a high-voltage power line.
(9) Shortly afterwards, turn right at the fork (white and red markings). Take the bridge over the Thève at the Boran-sur-Oise lock. Pass under the high-voltage power line again and continue parallel to the line, north-north-east.
(10) At the next intersection (see alternative route in the practical information section), near a riding centre, turn left to pass under the high-voltage power line again. Immediately afterwards, turn right onto the beach path. Go through the metal barrier and you will find yourself back on Avenue du Général de Gaulle.
(1) Follow the avenue to the left, cross the Oise river and, just before the level crossing, turn left to return to Boran-sur-Oise station (S/E).
