Park in the car park on Boulevard Léon Blum next to the Beaumont Bridge (green zone, 4-hour limit).
(S/E) Near the car park exit, take the steps leading down to the banks of the Oise. At the jetty, turn left to go under the bridge. Go back up the other side onto the Quai des Pêcheurs. Cross the quay and head back towards the roundabout. Take thefirst right onto Rue Nationale. A little further on, turn left up the steps leading to the château.
(1) At the castle, go down the stairs on the right. Turn left onto the Impasse de l’Esplanade, then, keeping to the left, take Rue Basse de la Vallée. Walk past the Hôtel du Croissant and continue down the street. Turn right up the Saint-Laurent stairs, which lead to the church of the same name.
(2) Then turn right onto Place Monseigneur Roland Gosselin. At the end, turn right twice to take another flight of steps (Ruelle du Croissant) which lead back down to Rue Basse de la Vallée. Then turn left onto Rue AlbertIer. At the junction, turn right, staying on Rue AlbertIer.
(3) At Place Gabriel Péri, turn left onto Rue du Beffroi. At the end, turn left and then right onto Rue Alphonse et Louis Roussel. At the wayside cross, turn left onto the D85. Follow this road for about 2 km. Just before entering the forest, you’ll see a menhir on a lawn on the left (opposite the EREA). Pass under the high-voltage power lines and enter the forest.
(4) At the Maison de la Pelouse in Nointel, turn left onto the wide path leading up into the forest and pass through a metal gate. Ignore the two paths on the right. At the next junction, continue straight ahead. At the next crossroads (Carrefour du Gros Hêtre), turn left onto the sunken path, which descends to pass under the high-voltage power lines.
(5) At the next junction (Carrefour de l’Étoile), head straight down the Chemin de la Pierre (ignore the path on the right). At the next junction, take the hairpin bend to the left onto an uphill path. Follow this path for about 1.5 km, until you reach the first houses, and ignore a turn-off on the right.
(6) At the end of the path, follow Rue Danielle Casanova, which soon turns to the right. At the next junctions, continue straight ahead.
(7) At thethird junction, turn left onto the Sentier de la Princesse. Go through a small metal gate and continue along this narrow path until you reach Rue Pasteur. Take thefirst right, Rue Eugène Guignet, and walk past the school. At the end of this street, make the first turn left then right and follow the Sentier du Saint-Laurent (narrow path). Ignore a path on the left and continue straight on until you reach Boulevard Léon Blum.
(8) Turn left, walk down this boulevard and pass the secondary school and the cemetery. At the roundabout, take the road straight ahead onto the Chemin du Vieux Pont. Go through the metal gate, turn left and reach the banks of the Oise.
(9) Follow the river on your right. Walk past a riding centre and go down a few steps onto the towpath. At the jetty, go up the stairs and you’ll find the car park on your left (S/E).
