Noisy-sur-Oise walks

This forest is steeped in history, as Saint Louis and Blanche of Castile used to walk here. It takes its name from the Celtic root "Carn", meaning stone, as some of its covered paths contain the remains of Neolithic tribes who came from the north. The exploitation of gypsum and marl gave rise to two ponds: the Petit Étang and the Lac Bleu.

The Carnelle National Forest is a forest located on a hill 25 km north of Paris. Its summit (altitude 210 m) is one of the highest points in the Val d'Oise. The variety of its landscapes makes it one of the most pleasant sites in the region. This hike follows part of the northern flank of the forest, allowing you to discover some interesting features of the forest and its surroundings.

Visit Royaumont Abbey via Viarmes and Luzarches, following the GR®655 circular route, for a wonderful day out with the family.

A circular walk that follows the GR®1 from Viarmes station to Presles on the outward leg. After passing through Noisy-sur-Oise, a village overlooking the Oise Valley, the GR®1 enters the Carnelle Forest, runs alongside Lac Bleu and passes near the covered walkway at La Pierre Turquaise. On the return leg, the route runs alongside the three lakes of the Carnelle Forest. Before arriving at the station, the route offers a chance to discover one of Viarmes’ many wash houses.

As the title suggests, this hike takes in three covered walkways, two of which are among the most remarkable in the Ile-de-France region. The first part takes place in the Carnelle Forest, with beautiful beech woods and two pleasant lakes. The second part takes place mainly across fields.

The hike starts at Royaumont Abbey and takes you through a mainly rural area, dominated by forests and farms, with numerous horse breeding establishments. The hilly landscape offers beautiful views of the Carnelle forest and the Oise valley. Passing through several villages gives you a glimpse of their rich heritage.

Starting from Mours, take a walk to discover a few paths linking Presles and Nointel, following the railway line and taking the hidden footpaths through the beautiful Carnelle forest.

From Nerville-la-Forêt, take a short hike in the Forêt de l'Isles Adam with visits to three villages and three churches. This hike is popular in summer when it is hot thanks to the cool shade of the trees in this forest, and also in winter as the ground is not too muddy.

Discover the Isle-Adam National Forest and the agricultural landscapes of the Val d'Oise on its southern edge. The route alternates between forest paths and wide, rolling hills amid cultivated fields and meadows.

A circular route alternating between tarmac roads, dirt tracks and forest paths, which takes you around the Bois de la Tour du Lay from Champagne-sur-Oise and offers views of the Oise valley. Along the way, you will pass a Neolithic polishing stone. The Bois de la Tour du Lay is classified as a departmental forest and bears the name of an old parish. This area is classified as a natural zone of ecological, faunistic and floristic interest (ZNIEFF).

Starting mainly in the forest and then crossing fields on good paths, this hike from station to station has its share of remarkable sights. You can enjoy an old market hall, two beautiful churches, a dovecote, a spring and a menhir, as well as a natural curiosity, the two intertwined trees in the Forest of Coye.

Circular hike which, on the way there, follows theGR®1from Luzarches to the Étangs de Comelles. This hike allows you to discover the beautiful, undulating Coye Forest with its variety of tree species.

A lovely walk, from station to station, starting in Luzarches and crossing the Bois du Tremblay along the GR®655. You’ll come across the Luzarches Mill and the Brassay Bridge. The route passes through the Coye Forest, past the Pain de Sucre and the Fontaine aux Verres. It’s a fairly shaded route, which is pleasant in summer when it’s very hot.

This half-day hike takes you around the entire Isle-Adam Forest. It is not particularly difficult and offers beautiful views overlooking the Stors Marsh and a glimpse of the old quarries (be careful not to cross the safety barrier).

Hike in the Isle-Adam National Forest, passing through areas overlooking the Stors Marsh Nature Reserve and the large Abbaye du Val Park with its quarries, caves and Château des Forgets. The GPX track may be useful.

You will walk along both wide, straight paths designed by Le Nôtre, with star-shaped crossroads, and small paths that wind along the edge of the forest, with sections overlooking the Marais de Stors Nature Reserve and the large Abbaye du Val Park.

Constant lived (after largely destroying it...) The walk mainly follows marked paths (PR® at the start, thenGR®1andGR® 655). Very peaceful despite the proximity of Paris.

A 10-kilometre loop to be done on foot starting from Parc Chantemesse in Chambly. There are no major difficulties and the section along the river is very pleasant.

A hike through the south-western part of the L'Isle-Adam Forest, where you will encounter some remarkable trees and beautiful heritage sites in Montsoult and Maffliers.

Most of the hike takes place on flat ground and in woodland, with a long stretch along the edge of lakes. It offers beautiful views of the Picardy countryside and the Oise valley. Passing through Précy-sur-Oise, Blaincourt-lès-Précy, Saint-Leu-d'Esserent and Villers-sous-Saint-Leu, you can discover some of the region's heritage gems.

A circular route that follows the GR®1 from L’Isle-Adam to Presles on the outward leg. The GR®1 runs alongside the River Oise and then crosses the Forest of L’Isle-Adam to Nerville-la-Forêt. From there, it heads to Presles across open countryside. On the return journey, the route passes by the L’Isle-Adam golf course and rejoins the banks of the River Oise. The towpath leads back to the starting point.

This circular hike follows the GR®1 from L'Isle-Adam to Auvers-sur-Oise on the way out. The GR®1 climbs through fields and woods to Nesles-la-Vallée. It then descends the Sausseron Valley and reaches Auvers-sur-Oise, where Vincent Van Gogh spent the last 70 days of his life. On the way back, the route returns to L'Isle-Adam along the banks of the Oise.

A very varied hike through green valleys, cultivated plateaus and forests. Some beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the crossing of villages with interesting architectural heritage make it very enjoyable.

A very beautiful route from station to station in the Montmorency Forest, based in part on four themed trails: “Le Sentier des Lisières”, “Le Sentier de la Reine Hortense” and “Le Chemin des Philosophes” described on the Saint-Leu-la-Forêt tourist information website, plus “Taverny par les Sentes”. Thanks to a number of information boards, the route allows you to trace the region’s ancient and more recent history, admire many of its most interesting sites, and even engage in a bit of philosophy. It can easily be shortened to 18 km by avoiding the return trip to the Statue of Notre-Dame de France at the start of the walk.

A circular loop from station to station accessible via line H. Starting from the town of Bouffémont, it takes you into the Montmorency Forest and on to the Château de la Chasse and its pond. Before and after the château, the route follows various forest trails in the shade of century-old trees.

This hike is a shorter version of the hike called "The Isle-Adam National Forest and its southern edge". The route, with sections through the forest and paths across fields and meadows, offers beautiful woodland scenery and sweeping views of the surrounding countryside thanks to the gently rolling terrain.

The Chauvry Valley is a listed site, particularly due to its biological richness. It is bordered by the forest massifs of Isle-Adam to the north and Montmorency to the south and stretches from the Oise valley to the Plaine de France. The hike takes place in rolling agricultural and wooded landscapes and passes through the grounds of the Château de Méry-sur-Oise.

Starting from the Route du Faîte, this is a very hilly hike in the Montmorency Forest, passing by the Château de la Chasse.
