Park near Parc Chantemesse in Chambly and go to the intersection of Rue de la Motte (which will be on your left about 50 metres from the park) and Rue de Vigneseuil.
(S/E) Go straight ahead to the end of Rue de la Motte and turn left at the Esches river. Cross the small wooden bridge (La Passerelle Fleurie), then go under the N1 road and follow the football pitches on your right.
(1) Then take the wooden bridge on the left (La Passerelle Enchantée) and follow the Esches river, which is now on your right but still in the same direction. Continue straight ahead until you reach the stone bridge.
(2) Leave the wash house on your right. Follow the river as it winds under the trees and when you reach the field, turn right. Continue along the path until you reach the road.
(3) Cross it and go through the cattle grids, continuing to follow the Esches in the small park where there are often cows and donkeys.
(4) At the park exit, cross the bridge and continue straight ahead, this time with the river on your left. Take the Vieille Rue on the left for about 50 metres.
(5) Turn left onto the first dead-end road. Cross the river again and take Rue du Pont Saint-Jacques on the left. Continue straight ahead, passing under the railway bridge and then under the motorway tunnel. When you reach the crossroads with the departmental road (D105), cross it and continue for 50m.
(6) Then turn left onto Chemin de la Ferme. At the Cavée de Gandicourt junction, continue straight ahead, following Rue de Renouval, which bends to the right, then Rue de Gandicourt. Turn right onto Rue Banse and continue downhill to the junction with Rue Raymond Marguet.
(7) Turn right onto this street and continue along a wide curve to the left onto Rue Honoré Chéron. Continue straight ahead, taking Rue du Grateleux slightly to the right. The view of the church with its imposing lime tree is very pretty.
(8) Continue down Grande Rue until you reach Rue Hubert Person. Turn right and then immediately left onto Rue de Chambly.
(9) At the roundabout, cross over the motorway via the grassy pedestrian area and the small winding path (be careful as the path under the trees can be slippery in winter).
Continue straight ahead on Rue de Chambly, passing under the railway line. Continue along Rue de Ronquerolles and then turn right onto Rue Henri Barbusse. Continue along this street, ignoring the streets on either side, until you reach the retirement home.
(10) Turn left through the large wooden gate to reach Parc Chantemesse. Exit at the intersection of Rue de Vigneseuil and Rue de la Motte (S/E).
