The hike starts at the car park at Plage de l'Isle-Adam (Val d'Oise), 1 avenue du Général de Gaulle.
You can get there by car or train; the Parmain station is about 600 metres away.
(S/E) Follow Rue de la Capitainerie southwards and turn right into Rue de Conti. Cross the dead arm of the Oise and, at the entrance to the bridge over the main river, look out for theGR® signpost.

(1) Cross the bridge and continue along Parmain, turning right onto Rue du Maréchal Foch, which climbs uphill.
(2) At the next fork, take the Chemin de la Justice on the left, which becomes a farm track a little further on. Stay on theGR® trail, ignoring all the paths on the right and left. After crossing some fields, you will come to the edge of a wood.
(3). Look out for the signposts and turn left twice, then, after about 100 metres, turn right diagonally onto the path that descends quite steeply. Continue until you reach Rue de Parmain (D64) in Nesles-la-Vallée, opposite the entrance to a pony club.
(4). Continue right on the D64. Pass the church and turn left twice to enter Allée Saint-Denis.
(5) About 100 metres further on, turn left onto a footpath built on the platform of the old railway line that ran from Valmondois to Marines. Follow this path until it crosses Rue Léon Bernard in Valmondois.

(6) Leave theGR® trail, which turns right, and continue straight ahead on the footpath that runs alongside a stream, the Sausseron, which is clearly visible in places. You will arrive near a pavilion in front of which a bust of Honoré Daumier has been placed. On your right is the Valmondois municipal park, which has a few picnic tables.
(7) Continue along the promenade until you reach the Grande Rue (D151), which you take to the left to reach a T-junction and turn right towards Butry-sur-Oise.
Pass a street on your right and, at the next crossroads, cross Rue de Parmain (D4) and follow the metre-gauge railway tracks, which curve sharply to the left. At the end, turn right into Rue des Violaines, then right again into Avenue de la Gare. Cross the level crossing.
(8) Continue almost straight ahead on Rue du Port au Loup, which will take you to the banks of the Oise, where you will leave the PR® signposts.

(10) Turn left. Continue straight ahead on Rue Perrot (the D922 turns left). The street quickly becomes a path that leads to a crossroads where a sign indicates the direction of the Marais de Stors Regional Nature Reserve.

(11) Stay on this path, which curves to the left and crosses the marshy area of the Marais de Stors before climbing back up into the forest of L'Isle-Adam, passing under a ruined bridge. At the top of the short steep slope, you will come to a T-junction.
(12) Turn left, and after about 100 metres, the path turns right at a 90° angle. Continue until you reach the barrier at a crossroads. You will find theGR® markings again.

(13) Continue straight ahead.
(14) At the junction with the D922 (protected by traffic lights), go straight ahead on the D67E towards the town centre (see signpost).
At the next intersection, turn left. Walk to the Oise River with the houses on your right and the fields on your left. At the river's edge, turn right and follow the riverbank to reach the bridge and cross to the other side onto Rue de la Capitainerie. The car park is straight ahead (S/E).
