Circular from station to station through the Montmorency Forest and the Château de la Chasse.

A circular loop from station to station accessible via line H. Starting from the town of Bouffémont, it takes you into the Montmorency Forest and on to the Château de la Chasse and its pond. Before and after the château, the route follows various forest trails in the shade of century-old trees.

Description of the walk

Departure from Bouffémont station.

(S) With your back to the station, take Rue Louise Michel on the left, keep left (Rue Ferdinand de Lessere), then take Rue Jean-Baptiste Clément on the right. On the left is the town's cultural centre.

(1) Continue along the street, then turn left onto Rue des Fileuses after passing between the Jean-Baptiste Clément Sports Complex and Léonard de Vinci College.

(2) Take the street on the left and, at the end, turn left onto Rue Berthelot, then immediately turn right onto a path that enters the forest. Continue as straight as possible until you reach Carrefour Pigalle.

(3) Continue along thesecond track (suitable for vehicles) on the left, and you will come to a small road (Route du Faite).

(4) Continue straight ahead (Ancienne Route du Pont d'Enghien) until you reach a crossroads. Take thesecond right, then bear left and continue straight ahead until you reach a junction.

(5) Note the Château de la Chasse opposite, on the other side of the pond. Turn left onto Route des Fonds and follow the Étang de la Chasse on your right until you reach the next crossroads.

(6) Continue left (Ancien Chemin de la Chasse) until you reach a four-way junction. Turn left (Route des Fosses d'Allu), cross a small road and arrive at the D909.

(7) Cross it and turn right onto the path that runs alongside it, then turn left and continue straight on until you enter Domont and arrive at the entrance gate to the Château d'Ombreval.

(8) Cross Rue d'Ombreval and take Chemin de la Ferme d'Ombreval. Walk along the castle wall and follow the street to No. 215.

(9) Turn onto the path on the right and cross the Ru de Vaux. Continue straight ahead until you reach the tarmac road at the Résidence des Maisons de Clairval. Continue left (Rue de Savoie), then right onto Rue Auguste et André Rouzée, and continue to the next crossroads.

(10) Turn left (Rue Carnot) and walk past the École Jean Moulin school. At the roundabout, take Rue de l'Indépendance opposite, then turn left onto Rue du Chemin Vert and follow it to the end.

(11) Take thesecond right onto Avenue Jean Jaurès. Pass the post office and, at the three-way junction, keep right and follow the one-way street towards Parc Joséphine Baker to reach Domont station directly (E).
