Circular Bécane starting from Vieille-Toulouse
Connecting the village of Vieille-Toulouse to that of Pechbusque via the Way of St James, this walk takes hikers through wooded, shaded areas crossed by the Bécane stream. The church of Pechbusque, a stopping place for pilgrims, will charm visitors with its stained glass windows and furnishings.
Strongly discouraged in wet weather.
Circular Riverotte in Clermont-le-Fort
A stone's throw from Toulouse, this is a short, easy route with views of the village and the cliff reflected in the pond, or the Ariège waterfalls.The walk takes less than an hour and is almost completely flat, but it can last a long time if you like to "caress the reeds, leaf through the ponds and cry Rimbaud" or simply contemplate the ducks, egrets and herons or picnic with your feet in the water, sun cream at hand.
Between Muret and Saubens on the banks of the Garonne and the cliffs
Hike between Muret and Saubens, partly along the Garonne river, with breathtaking views of Muret, the Garonne valley and the Pyrenees in the background.
Muret - Brioudes circular and return via the Via Garonna
From Quai Saint-Marcet, the old port on the Garonne in Muret, the route climbs the cliff via shaded steps to reach Rue de la Côté des Bênes. Simply follow the path to the Brioudes plateau, the leisure centre and the fitness trail.On the Brioudes plateau, in good weather, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Mont Valier and other peaks in the Pyrenees. The return journey down the Côte de Bétance takes you back to the car park.
From Notre-Dame des Bois to Clermont-le-Fort
This hike is based on the route published by SICOVAL "Circular walk from Notre-Dame des Bois", which I modified at the end.
Notre-Dame-des-Bois loop
This hike, which crosses varied landscapes, offers beautiful views of the Ariège valley. It leads along a path through the woods to the Notre-Dame-des-Bois oratory, a reminder of the discovery of a wooden statue of the Virgin and Child, which can be seen in the church of Clermont-le-Fort.
Pech David and the Gallic oppidum
Starting from the peaceful village of Pouvourville, this easy walk can be enjoyed in all seasons.
The signs are everywhere, guiding us along the tree-lined path to the Oppidum de Cluzet, where the first inhabitants of Toulouse lived in the Neolithic period.
From the Gallic oppidum, and all along the cliff-top path on the heights of Pech David, you can enjoy magnificent views of the Garonne River flowing through the Toulouse plain.
The Ariège from bottom to top
A very varied hike, combining bucolic trails along the Ariège river and aerial passages on the cliffs. Very little tarmac, lots of trails, beautiful views of the plains and the Pyrenees.The hike ends with a visit to the charming village of Clermont-le-Fort.
A challenging circuit on the outskirts of Toulouse.
Just outside Toulouse, this is a short, invigorating circuit. There is a bit of tarmac when crossing Castanet (1.3 km), but the rest is made up of paths and beautiful trails. The countryside is just a few kilometres from Toulouse. Avoid this circuit after heavy rain as some sections will be difficult to navigate.
The Bidot Lakes
Easy walk around the various lakes of the Bidot estate between Fonsorbes, Plaisance du Touch and Frouzins.
This route starts at the park entrance and the Salle Bidot in Fonsorbes.
Comtesse Circular
Starting from the Comtesse dovecote, this walk on the outskirts of Toulouse allows you to discover some of the heritage sites of Ramonville and Auzeville, while following paths that are captivating for their plant and botanical diversity.
Ramonville-Saint-Agne circuit
The circuit includes a few short tarmac sections but also many paths, greenery and beautiful landscapes; a surprising circuit so close to Toulouse.
Circular Fount Grando in Rebigue

The banks of the Touch from Plaisance to Saint-Martin du Touch
This long walk along the Touch, between the river, lakes, woods and meadows, is very pleasant, varied, often shaded and well laid out. It can also be done by bike. And, of course, you can walk shorter sections.
Île du Ramier via the footbridges from Empalot to Esquirol

Toulouse left bank: Jardins du Barry, Cartoucherie and Saint-Cyprien
Stroll along the left bank of Toulouse and discover the city's new developments on a former industrial site. Green spaces have been created to provide shade and coolness in summer. The route is safe and away from traffic. The walk continues towards the historic district and ends at Saint-Cyprien.
Venerque - Clermont le Fort circular, off the beaten track
This is a walk with two faces: the first part is "aerial", on the right bank, from Vénerque to Clermont-le-Fort, with elevation changes and a landscape stretching as far as the eye can see, along paths that are rarely used (except by trail runners); the second part, on the left bank, is completely "peaceful", winding between the lake, riverbanks and the peaceful neighbourhoods of Le Vernet.

In the footsteps of the Roman ramparts of Tolosa
This very easy urban walk will take you to the 10 remains of the Roman ramparts of Toulouse fromthe 1st and 3rd centuries AD that are still visible today in public spaces. The duration of this walk will depend on how much time you spend observing the sites.
Barèges dovecote circular
Between hills and valleys, this hike around Espanès offers beautiful views of the village of Montbrun-Lauragais and the Pyrenees on a clear day. Along the way, visitors can also discover the barns and dovecotes that are characteristic of the region's heritage.
Garonne and Canal du Midi via the Toulouse cable car
The opening of the Téléo cable car in May 2022 will allow you to make a beautiful circular route along the Garonne and then the Canal du Midi, while providing a view of the city of Toulouse and the Pyrenees.
The entire first section, from (1) to (5), is in full sun in the morning.
Metro line B, for alternative departures, leaves the landmarks (4) and (8).
Please note that the use of the cable car introduces a bias in the Visorando technical data sheet: the elevation gain is very low and the hike is only about 12 km long, taking 2½ to 3 hours on foot.
Day trip to Toulouse
