Park at Place de la Mairie.
(S/E) Cross the D 95b road at the pedestrian crossing to take Chemin de la Croix Blanche opposite.
(1) Turn right at the bend, continue along Impasse de la Fount Grando and follow the red and white markings ofthe GR®653, Chemin de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle. Pass in front of the Fount Grando fountain. Take the grassy path opposite, cross the small bridge, then turn left to go up the field along its edge and reach a road.
(2) Turn right and walk past the orientation table (view of Château Giscard and the Pyrenees on a clear day) and then past a beautiful building called Maison de Rebigue. At the intersection, continue straight ahead, passing in front of Saint-Lizier Church and the cemetery (peace monument inside). Continue past the water tower and a mill barrel (private) until you reach an intersection.
(3) Cross (dangerous crossroads) and turn right onto Route de la Place. At the three-way junction, turn left onto Chemin de Corronsac (view of Corronsac Church). Continue straight ahead for 1.3 km, crossing a bridge, passing the housing estate and reaching an intersection.
(4) Turn right onto Chemin du Thil and leave theGR® trail. Continue along this road for 1.6 km (view of the Cassé building on the left, panorama of the Cossignol valley and view of the village of Aureville opposite). After the bend and at the bottom of the descent, you will reach an intersection with a grassy path just before the bridge.
(5) Turn right onto the path that runs alongside the Cossignol stream (not marked on IGN maps). In front of the field, head towards the small hedge and follow it on the right. Enter the undergrowth and continue along the path.
(6) Cross the stream on the small wooden bridge and climb up the sunken path at the edge of the clearing. At the edge of the undergrowth, continue along the grassy section to pass to the left of Le Long farm. Continue along the stony path, then climb up the tarmac section opposite and reach the town hall. Turn right to return to the starting point (S/E).
