Ennetières-en-Weppes walks

Departure from Carrefour de la Vallée in Ennetières-en-Weppes. For a hike on roads and small paved country lanes. Can be completed in two hours if you walk at a brisk pace.

Prémesques, the starting village, is at the edge of the suburbs, close to Lomme and Pérenchies.This humble asphalt route could nonetheless satisfy joggers and provide plenty of fresh air for walkers. What else could you ask for?If you set off at daybreak, you might see a few partridges fly in, encounter a few rabbits and maybe even some hares.

A pleasant circular route starting from Pérenchies, along small country roads and a few dirt tracks (muddy in winter). Along the way, you can enjoy blackberries (in season), you’ll come across horses (at the riding centres), and perhaps a heron, storks and flamingos. This route offers the chance to discover 8 geocaches for enthusiasts.

If you're a birdwatcher at heart, you'll appreciate the observatories in this nature reserve. You can also picnic on the benches under the trees or enjoy a meal in Mosaïc Park (booking required). This route is particularly green and shaded, making it the perfect place to spend a wonderful day with family or friends.

A walk along the Tortue and Rigole du Nord canals, returning via the Deûle.

Do you prefer to use public transport, or do you not have your own transport to get to the start of the walk? This walk from station to station will allow you to enjoy some of the most beautiful natural areas of the Parc de la Deûle.Starting from Wavrin station, you can explore the lodge site, walk alongside the Deûle Canal at various distances, and finish with a visit to La Louvière Park before reaching Don-Sainghin station.

Starting from the Parc Mozaïc car park, a 15 km walk along the farm tracks of the Marais de la Deule, between Emmerin, Noyelles-lès-Seclin and Ancoisne.

The Bois de la Lodge route in Santes is a walk comprising a short 1.3 km circular route and a longer 2.8 km circular route.Well-maintained paths, not very muddy even in wet weather.Dogs are allowed if kept on a lead.

Just a stone's throw from Lille, an easy stroll through unspoilt countryside, passing through the Emmerin wellfields. The end is a little urban before entering the leisure and nature park.

If you have time, you can visit the museum dedicated to the Battle of Fromelles, which took place in July 1916. Next, you will skirt the village of Aubers, but you will see some of its ponds, which make this village a tourist destination for fishing and camping. You will also encounter the very respectable Tilleul du Joncquoy, which was planted there in 1490.

This hike is passable even when the paths are muddy, as they are very grassy. We spend a very pleasant time between the plain, the canal and the woods...

Start and finish at the car park near Bizet Church via the Ornithological Nature Reserve and Rue de la Howarderie in Ploegsteert. This route crosses a muddy farm track during winter.

This often shaded walk, straddling the Belgian border, may appeal to you, as 90% of the route runs alongside the banks of the Lys and the Deûle.

Departure and arrival at the Rue du Touquet car park near the Ploegsteert brickworks via the Howarderie and the Ploegsteert Ornithological Nature Reserve. Located in the heart of the Lys Valley, this remarkable 100-hectare site is a treat for bird lovers.

A short route with very little tarmac, allowing you to (re)discover the old lime tree of Joncquoy as well as the orchards of La Cliqueterie, which are particularly beautiful in autumn and spring.

This walk brings you into close contact with the canal's barges and birds. As the towpath is almost completely tarmac, this walk is particularly enjoyable in winter, when the paths are too muddy and impassable.

Humani Twins Go hike in the town of Nieppe. Nieppe, in the heart of Flanders, where you can see the ponds and Michel Grasset Park. This hike is accessible to everyone and is not difficult.

An easy 10 Km round trip along both banks of the Deûle canal. __⚠️ Work reported on the outward bank between points 1 and 4 on February 13, 2022. Plan to make the return trip on the other bank while waiting for the work to be completed.__

At the start of this route, you can visit the magnificent park and garden of the Countess de Robersart, who lived at the château of the same name in the 19th century. This perfectly circular garden contains many listed medicinal and perennial plants.You'll also appreciate this remarkable marina on the Canal de la Deûle.The rest of the route is a leisurely stroll on asphalt through the Wambrechies countryside.

Hiking on the Haute-Deûle canal between Don and Ile aux Saules, between Bauvin and Billy-Berclau.In addition to the canal, you'll have the chance to discover beautiful natural areas such as Parc de La Louvière, Espace Chico Mendès and Île aux Saules.

A lovely walk along the banks of this artificial canal, created by man but returned to nature, where anglers and walkers meet daily, followed by a detour into the town of Seclin.

A long stroll across flat land with a nice climb at the end. Only two slightly difficult sections, so it's an ideal walk in autumn and winter. The walk starts on a small road with few houses and therefore little traffic, before crossing Le Bizet via Les Voyettes. The route then continues along the canal and the beautiful Pont Bayart bridge, which is reserved for non-motorised traffic, then past a few ponds with facilities for welcoming storks, before ending at the Bois de Ploegsteert.

A circular route through countryside and woodland, taking in places steeped in history.After a somewhat tedious first kilometre, the walk follows a series of paths and quiet country lanes to reach Wulvergem.After a lovely circular route through Wulvergem, you’ll find a wild path at a place called Rosenberg before crossing the Bois de la Hutte. A short stretch then along the Ghent-Wevelgem roads to reach the Christmas Truce Cemetery.You then cross the Ploegsteert Wood to reach the Memorial Museum.
