Park in the car park at the cemetery in Aubers.
(S/E) With your back to the cemetery, head off to the right and ignore the small track on the right. At the fork immediately after, keep to the right and follow the path lined with ponds to the T-junction.
(1) Turn left onto the wide farm track and follow it to a roundabout. Take Rue de Piètre straight ahead (no pedestrian crossing!) and follow this street on the left-hand pavement for about 700 m.
(2) Turn left onto Chemin des Brœux and join Rue du Bas Pommereau. Follow it to the right until you reach the Tilleul de Joncquoy (plaque).
(3) Turn left onto a pretty path. At the T-junction, turn left and you’ll soon reach a fork. Take the Rue du Haut Pommereau on the left, which turns left after about 600 m.
(4) Leave this road and take the path on the right, first between the houses, then through the fields. You will reach the D 141. Cross it with great care, and take the wide path opposite. You will come to a T-junction between the Ferme de Mailly and the Cliqueterie.
(5) Turn left, then immediately right to reach the Ferme de la Cliqueterie.
(6) Turn left between the buildings, then cross the orchards to reach the D41. Follow it to the left, passing in front of the British military cemetery.
(7) Shortly after the cemetery, turn right onto Rue de Valmonchy, pass a pretty pond and reach a fork in the road.
(8) Take Rue du Plouich on the left to reach the D141. Cross it carefully and head straight ahead, veering slightly to the right. You will reach a junction.
(9) Continue straight on along Allée des Charmes and enter the Résidence du Val. At the T-junction, turn left. Shortly afterwards, look out for a small lane with a barrier on the left.
(10) Continue straight ahead. When the road bends to the left, take the wide grassy path on the right that runs alongside the gardens. Follow it to the end and you will find Allée des Frênes, which you should follow straight ahead.
(10) Take the small path almost opposite and reach a large grassy area (gate). Turn right to reach a small clearing. Continue straight ahead across the grass to reach Allée des Charmes (gate). Follow it to the left and reach a T-junction. Then turn right onto Rue Deleval and follow it for about 200 m.
(11) Turn left onto the magnificent path (gate) which takes you back to the car park (S/E).
