Start from Houplines secondary school, Rue Roger Salengro.
(S/E) Opposite the cemetery, turn left towards Belgium, then right onto Rue Paul Cézanne and left onto Allée Edgar Degas. Continue along Rue des Glycines and, at the end, turn right (Rue Carnot). You will reach a four-way junction.
(1) Turn left, cross the bridge over the Lys and follow the road to the next hamlet.
(2) Continue straight on until you reach the end of Rue d’Houplines at L’Épine.
(3) Continue left onto Rue du Touquet. At the end of this street, turn left onto Rue d'Armantières and you will soon reach a four-way junction.
(4) Turn right onto Sentier de la Planche, then immediately right onto the cycle path at the corner of No. 24. Continue straight on to the end of Rue des Briqueteux.
(5) Take the small road opposite, slightly to the right, Rue Sainte-Marie. Follow it to the end, to a crossroad.
(6) Turn left then right, opposite No. 2, onto Zuidlindestraat. After a short climb, turn left at the farm onto Ingelandstraat, then immediately right onto Oostkerkweg, and follow the road to the end.
(7) Opposite No. 48, turn right, enter Nieuwkerke and reach a side road, opposite No. 47.
(8) Turn left then right, towards Dranouter. Follow the N322 until you reach the sign marking the exit from the village of Nieuwkerke.
(9) Turn right at the corner of No. 48, onto Smijtersstraat. Follow this road and, after climbing the steepest hill, you will reach a four-way junction.
(10) Continue left, taking care on the descent. You will reach Dranouter church. Ride past it and you will immediately come to a junction.
(11) Turn right onto Koudekotstraat and carry on to No. 15.
(12) Take the small road on the left, onto Festivalsstraat, then left onto Hillestraat and right onto Verlorenhoekstraat. Follow this road, pass the “Au Coin Perdu” petrol station and reach the first road on the left.
(13) Turn onto this road, Schoonemaegdstraat, and follow it straight on until you reach a crossroad.
(14) Turn left (Rue de Neuve Église) and continue to the next junction.
(15) Turn right onto Eikelstraat. Enjoy the view and take note of the Cross of the Three Shepherds. Follow this road to the end.
(16) Turn right onto Seulestraat, then left ( taking care) and follow Kortepijpstraat. At the next junction, turn right onto Spiervelden and follow it to the end.
(17) Turn right (Niepkerkestraat), cross the border and continue on the D422, following it until the second road on the left, at the corner of No. 1084.
(18) Keep left, then turn immediately left onto Rue d’Oosthove. At the next junction, turn right and continue straight on until the end of Rue Mitoyenne. First turn left then right and follow Rue de la Clef d’Hollande until you reach Chemin du Pont de Nieppe on the left.
(19) Take this path and continue along the gravel track. Join the route you have already taken and head straight on until the end of Sentier de la Planche.
(4) Continue to the right onto Avenue Léon Blum, then quickly turn left onto Rue Marcel Wramour. Continue along Rue Henri Duribreu, then turn right onto Rue de l'Église. Pass in front of the church, then continue left onto Clos des Pâquerettes.
(20) At the crossroads, turn right (Rue de la Mélune). At the end of this street, turn left and rejoin the route you have already taken.
(2) Continue to the right along Rue d'Houpline and enter the village.
(1) At the four-way junction, head straight ahead along Rue Faidherbe, continue along Rue Anathole Musy, and rejoin the route taken on the way there. Turn left and, following the route in reverse, head towards Houplines secondary school on Rue Roger Salengro (S/E).
